But really, Wendy's is the cat's pyjamas when it comes to fast food. They seem to have the freshest ingredients, the greasiest burgers and they've upped their fry game substantially. They aren't McDonald's fries but I think I like them better now.

With DQ (whose burgers are quite underrated IMO), I've always found it depends on the location. Some are really good while others are piss poor.

The DQ on 17th Ave and 37th St, over by Westbrook Mall is consistently great.

1. If the prices of McDonalds' food causes you hardship, you should use it as a motivator to make healthier choices.
2. If you do want to eat it and price doesn't cause you to make threads about it on message boards, McDonalds make available all of their nutritional info. So long as you keep on top of your calories (and macros), fitting McDonalds into your day isn't impossible. (In fact, it's easy as hell.)

I love how we applaud McDonald's for using a real egg. Bravo!

Yeah, listen to the guy who says the advice is poor then gives no reasons for his dissent.
I'm not saying you can or should eat it regularly, and only an idiot would take my comment as such. I'm saying if you decide one day "I want a Bacon McDouble today" for example, you can still stay within your daily calorie goal and eat one so long as you stay on top of your calorie intake and your macronutrients for the rest of the day.
If you disagree, you're literally disagreeing with the first law of thermodynamics (and then please explain this: Professor of Human Nutrition loses 27 pounds eating mostly Twinkies.)
Calories in, calories out. End of discussion.

I probably eat at McDonald's twice a year. It's not that I hate it, I actually really like it. But it really does make me feel like garbage after. As I get older, I find that food choices affect my energy levels much more than they did when I was younger.
My personal "fast food" vice is greasy spoon Chinese food. You know the ones that usually have names like; "Lucky Restaurant" or "Golden Wok". You pay like $30 and feed yourself for 3 days (even if you order chow mein and get chop suey).
The last time I went to McDonald's is when I was babysitting my niece. It was almost $30 to feed 2 adults and a kid and we were all hungry after.

The best secret out there is the A&W breakfast. They serve a legit sit down breakfast served to your table. The place is packed with old folks reading newspapers eating bacon and eggs.

IMO Chipotle is way over rated. Its good and all, but not much different than a mucho burrito or Taco Del Mar. I like those places, so I'm not saying its bad, but when I ate there I wasn't blown away.

Like the DQ commercials say, "It's not fast food..." and they are right, its slow AND it sucks, and its over priced to, you can buy a whole pail of ice cream for the price of one little treat off of their menu.

I love Mcdonalds, Bacon McDoubles an jr Chickens. It's so consistantly, everyone is the same. They perfected the delivery of fake flavour salt, fat and carbs made from the constituents of food marketed to children like cigarettes.
It's really masterful, the staff training is fantastic. If you could turn the performance in that kitchen to the real world you'd double efficiency.

Actually, the eggs are not claimed to be fresh for all egg products at McDonald's in the United States. The only egg product that is claimed as freshly cracked is the Egg McMuffin.
It would be too expensive to replicate an unbeaten egg artificially so they use real eggs for it. They did try with powdered whites and powdered yolks treated with a chemical to allow them to keep their shape when reconstituted and dropped into the egg white but apparently it made them taste so unlike eggs that it was abandoned. DO NOT put it past them to try again as technology improves.

Or you get the burrito bowl with tortillas on the side and it is two meals.

But its good enough for Olympians!
As someone said, their coffee is supreme. McDonald's breakfast is still miles better than Tim's, especially the hash brown.
However, A&W is my fast food place of choice!

I'm in the camp that only eats McD twice a year, but at $1.90, you'd be hardpressed to make a dozen, homemade Jr. McChickens for that unit cost.
It's easy to see why people of lower social status flock to McDonalds. Just ridiculous levels of consistency and efficiency

Last night I fed 4 adults and 2 kids on $35 of KFC. It would have cost me more had I bought Mickey D's. KFC is always more expensive than Mickey D's in the past but not anymore. That's not right and that's why Mickey D is unreasonably pricey nowadays.
