That's what is giving me the most confidence going into Saturday, the Canucks D were turnover machines again tonight. Flames did not take advantage of it at all, but it seems like that is going to be the norm this series. Flames will get lots of chances Saturday, just need to bury them.

Nux in 7.
This statement makes me think that you have not been watching the series up to now.

Meh, at least the Flames don't have to worry about getting caught in a potential riot now.

Young teams will have bumps in the road, that's all this was. Learn from it and move to the next game. Like other people said, better teams than the Flames have failed to close out a series in game 5 before.

Thought the refs were particularly poor tonight, how you give Ferland that penalty and then let the Canucks hack at Hiller makes no sense. Then whatever Sedin shoved Hiller into the net and nothing. If you don't want post whistle scrums then don't allow poking at the goalie.

Lol. Fair weather? Nope. Been following my team since 6 years old and I'm now 39. I clearly remember Joel Otto kicking in the puck to advance and eventually win a cup.

Given the circumstances, the Canucks should have been better.

The fact they only squeaked this one out is evidence they're not capable of winning by more or upping their effort. If Miller doesn't steal the next one, I think they're done in six.

The flames didn't want to deal with riots in Vancouver. They chose to win the series where the flames will be celebrating along 17th Ave

Canucks threw everything at them and the Flames were right in it.

Terrible ice tonight, puck hopped on the Flames on several great chances.

On the other hand, they need to recognize that and stop being so fancy and get pucks to the net.

Kind of a bummer they wasted such a solid goaltending performance as well. If the Flames play just average tonight he may have been able to backstop them to a win.

I would like to see Shore draw in for Raymond. That breakaway was so bad that I think it would be better to with a different player for game 6.

I remember Gary Roberts being pushed into the goal post with his neck almost paralysing him, and eventually Canucks advance and lose the cup.

They were pretty bad tonight, but this is still awesome. Can hardly wait until Saturday!!
Totally agree, they were pretty bad game 2 as well, we all know what happened when they came home.

Remember folks, Canucks hasn't beaten the Flames at the Saddledome this playoff series! And they are not gonna to!

The 2008 series was 5-3 in Game 7. Kipper got pulled 34 minutes in - in what would be his final playoff game for the Flames.
Jeremy Roenick led the way with 2 goals and 4 points - with Pavelski, Thornton and Devin Setoguchi picking up singles.

For Calgary it was Iginla, Nolan (3rd of the series) and Wayne Primeau.

Getting all this from the box score because I still don't remember a damn thing about the game.

All I remember from that series was a huge Sarich hit to spark a come back and that Nolan was terrific the entire stretch.
Here you go.
