I love how Engelland just kind of looks at him and does a double take, I don't think he knew how to react.

So funny.

From HF Canucks about the video:

Love it.
Can't wait for Cherry's commentary on this.

We totally just took their lunch money. Pretty sure if we had asked them to, they would have cleaned the ice during the TV timeouts. I don't think they could have gotten out of Calgary fast enough after the game.

I actually don't mind that from Sedin. He's a finesse player, he's not going to start something with Engelland, instead he shows that he's not bothered with it. Engelland wants Sedin to react, which he initially does, but this is a nice subtle way of at least trying to show that he's not being thrown off his game.

There was a quote from them awhile back about how they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. If they just take the ####, they are heartless cowards but if they retaliate or get involved, the other teams is under their skin and throwing them off their game.

It's the rest of the team that should be fighting fire with fire. It's players like Bieksa that are the laughable players. He's suppose to be a tough guy but it's obvious that Ferland has got under his skin.

The Canucks had the one weird bounce goal last night, but they really didn't have even 1 scoring chance in the first two periods last night. Not too many in the third period either, even with their 15 SOG.

Not surprised about Baertschi. The Canucks were smart enough to keep him out of an atmosphere that would have eaten him alive. But given how much of a liability MacMillan was, they have to do something else. Bring him in at home, and pray to god Ferland or Bollig doesn't tag him good.

Yeah and the other side of that is if the Flames play physical and up-tempo, up 3-1 in the series, they're seen as intimidating. If they play a patient defensive style, they are disciplined.

This is how it always is when one team is playing way better hockey than the other in a playoff series. Maybe instead of whining about it they should put their focus into playing better hockey.

I read that Van has 1 pick in the top 90 this year?

We have 6 in the top 80.

I think they feel their topped up with Virtanen, McCann, Baertschi and Subban. If they wanted to make nose with the current core they needed to spend assets. Looks foolish now though

The Canucks traded their second rounder to the Flames for Baertschi and their third as part of the Kesler deal.

Right now, they have the 23rd overall pick, then the 114th pick.

I know reading HF that they have a lot of hope for Viranen, and there's a lot to like about his game, he's big, he's a decent skater, he drives the net well.

But he doesn't see the ice well, his passing is atrocious, and his overall hockey IQ is low. I honestly believe he see's two or three years on the farm to fix the holes in his game.

I loved the Engelland Sedin stick thing, I can imagine the conversation.

Engelland - "Hey give me my stick and I'll rip your face off"
Sedin picks up the stick and hands it to Engelland
Sedin - "Don't you mean or sir?"
Engelland - "Huh"
Sedin - "I think you meant to say give me my stick or I'll rip your face off"
Engelland - "no"
Sedin wets himself like a scared puppy during a thunderstorm.

My 8 year old nephew just told me he was cheering for Van, I almost chocked. He only saw one game in the playoffs the one we lost. I asked him what he knew about Canucks, and if he liked Sedins but he knew nothing about them.

He has seen games with grandpa cheering for the Flames, so it came to me that its the BAD influence of his stepdads family.

So, I showed him Johnny Hockey highlights, pictures of Monahan and Bennett, fights and hits of Ferland, told him about heroics of Gio, Russell (shot blocking record), Hudler the nicest guy in the NHL.
Told him about the young rising team that nobody gave a chance.

The clinching argument was Burrows, and the fact the guy pulls hair, bites and runs away like a little girl.

The kid came around, now if you ask him" -what do you think of Vancouver?

He now says - VANCOUVER SUCKS!

PS. Just making the world better, one kid at the time.
