In all honesty I'd take Horvat for Jooris, and I like Jooris a lot. (they are comparables stat-wise). Horvat looks like he'll be a great player. But still a secondary scoring type. comparing him to Calgary's top guns is ridiculous.

I'd take Edler for Engelland. Hamhuis seems like an idiot who gets too emotionally involved in a negative way and I think Engelland has been just as good since getting a larger role.

considering ages and player ceilings I'd take Johnny, Monahan and Bennett over the Sedins and Vrbata, 1000/1000 times... that's easy.

I like our goaltending better. I'm not even sold on Lack at all. he played well down the stretch for the Canucks and still had a regular season save percentage equal to Hiller. the difference is Hiller knows how to elevate his play for the post-season.

I guess overall you could say that I have very little roster envy for the Canucks any more. their window is closing while ours is just opening.

#Flames Captain Mark Giordano taking a few shots on Ramo. Hope to see him in the line up soon. #neverquit

Wouldn't Stajan or Backlund be Horvat's comparable? Jooris plays the fourth line and was an undrafted free agent.

Unbelievable.
I guess he's too dumb to realize Calgary finished only 4 points behind Van?

Or pretty much like a lot of media out there. Stuck in the past.

He has grown more beard in less than one day than most of his teammates have grown since the playoffs started.

Gio taking shots and whatnot boggles my mind. I don't know much about tendon injuries and whatnot, but weren't they calling this a 4-5 month recovery? Seems oddly ahead of schedule, and even more so because I know they likely wouldn't try and rush him along unnecessarily.

Just be glad that our media does not have to sing from the hymn book like Edmonton media.

I would think that at at this point he can start taking wrist shots, I doubt he was taking many slap shots yet though.

GFG
Wear neon green (like the brain-dead goof in game 4) so we know where you're at. Then switch to red. I'll save the pvr images of you.

Here is a great GIF of Sedin picking up Engelland's stick. I saw it on HF Canucks and they are hating it.

https://twitter.com/HockeyWebCast/st...20642784002048

I love how Engelland just kind of looks at him and does a double take, I don't think he knew how to react.

So funny.

From HF Canucks about the video:
Quote:
Makes me ****ing sick to my stomach.
Quote:
Absolutely gutless. This a game after Sedin had someone's glove in his face and he just stood there taking it. Makes me want to puke.
Quote:
When being bullied like that and then to turn around and act like that? It's infuriating. I can't respect that, and judging by how many people around the league mock them it's clear that they aren't respected among their peers around the league.
Quote:
4 more years of that
Love it.
