Let the crowd chant, and have Harvey out to get it going or set the pace. Otherwise you hear 2 different timed chants fighting each other.
WHAT! No Navras??? Navras has a natural "Go Flames Go" tempo to it.

Yeah I usually can on my iPad, but I am at work now and those are restricted access for some reason. Anyways, I'll find a way. I'm just ragging on you.

Oh for sure, I'm including that as part of the intro.

I've checked a few times but can't find a gif of Ferland taking the puck from Bieksa inside the blue line. That look on Bieksa's face is priceless. Anybody have one? Or can point me in the direction of the spot I missed? Thanks!

Red Mile was epic. Shout out to the Canucks fan we convinced to burn his jersey and then got arrested for it! Epic.
I think we had a higher peak volume last night, but a lower average volume. The Ed-die chants were loud though. The strangest thing was when Gio came on the jumbotron for the intro video, everyone quieted down to listen to what he had to say. Then went nuts.

Definitely couldn't hear any of the intro video on Sunday... last night you could.

It's Gio's house, even when he doesn't play.

Yup. Three things, IMO:

1) they were behind, so much of the play was going to be in Calgary's end

2) they were unable to get to dangerous areas or get passes through to the middle, because the Flames were collapsing to the middle and keeping them to the outside. And shots from the perimeter are not very dangerous, but they also...

3) result in the shooting team retaining the puck off rebounds because they are to the outside. If the attacking team are all around the perimeter, they will continue to recover rebounds because rebounds and tipped passes tend to end up back at the boards.

Lots of possession time, lots of weak perimeter shots, much frustration.

RIP, Sedin Cycle.

I think the way the game went just naturally kept the animosity lower, and often it is the animosity that keeps the average volume higher.

The refs and players did seem to control things better, but man, did the refs ever put away their whistles late in the game when it came to the Canucks interfering. I think they realized that as long as the Canucks had hopes of coming back, that they would behave. If the refs would have started calling them, they likely would have just said "eff it" and take headshots again.

BTW, does anyone know what Bollig did or said to get the 10 min misconduct?

He skated by the Canucks bench mouthing off between plays.

Did Ferland's Mom get more or less camera time than Eddie's Dad?

He purposely went out of his way to skate by the Canucks bench to say something right in front of a linesman.

Not sure what that has to do with the game of fetch, but I said I will gladly take Monahan and Bennett going forward over both Sedins.
Bolig + any other Flame = more rings than either Sedin

The best part about Calgary dominating, is that you have some delirious fans on hfboards who still stick by corsi being the true measure of what's going on, and are still in denial of how the Flames win despite that beloved stat. There is one Canucks fan in particular who keeps on desperately posting corsi stats throughout the game, while they were being completely trashed, as a sign that Vancouver was actually winning

You cannot put a Ferland on a statsheet, which is why so called advanced stats are completely meaningless. Irrelevant .

Calgary has never played a possession game this season. Yeah the Sedins cycle well, but they are outside the perimeter the whole game, and get shots blocked at the blue line or behind the net. But that adds to Corsi, so the Sedins are truly dominating this series.
