Yeah, I'm sure even Pronger fanboys would tell you he's dirty. Kind of a silly comment.

Yea because you know taking your glove off and pretending to chug a beer to make fun of someone who has had a known drinking problem is the epitome of class....Good riddance Burrows enjoy your summer.......

It's all relative I guess. I lived in that area from the time I was a small child until I was a young adult and I think the people there seem to identify with Western Canada more so. Winnipeg is "the big city" for the townies in that region, and people are more inclined to go on vacations or migrate in that direction. For example, to drive to Calgary from Dryden takes about 15 hours. To drive to Toronto from Dryden takes about 18 hours.

Agreed. I have seen my fair share of anti-francophone sentiment in Western Canada, but the Burrows hate has nothing to do with that. Being a francophone might not give you the benefit of the doubt in Western Canada, but if you are a good person, no one will hold it against you.

I believe it was a francophone NHL referee that in fact called out Burrows before.

Heard on the radio this morning that Burrows didn't fly out with the team last night, and went/will be going back to Vancouver today.

Assuming the charter doesn't come back solely for him and whoever stayed with him from the team, I hope he and his busted rib get boo'ed during the entire flight back to Vancouver...

He was doing it to Shane O'Brien after the line brawl last year.

You can doubt my next insider info if you like, but it comes from a very reliable source close to the Canucks: Burrows hurt his ribs when he fought Russell. Apparently, he was sore but what set it off was during practice when he was taking shots.

FYI - I'm not posting this for attention. I love my fellow Flames fans. I'm just passing on what I heard from a very reliable source.

I thought I saw Burrows after the fight, while pinned by the linesman, kind of thrash his legs a bit. TOTAL speculation but I'd only make that sort of motion if I was hurt. So it wouldnt surprise me if the above were true.

Just trying to figure out why everyone hates him. Has to be more to it than that one time Bergeron put his glove in his mouth and he kind of chewed on it.

Have you read this thread? Have you watched NHL hockey the past 10 years? I'm trying to figure out how someone who follows the flames doesn't know how terrible a person Burrows is on the ice.

He's the definition of classless and is the biggest reason the Canucks are the most hated team in the league.

Well said. Hair pulling, embellishment, crying about a referee who was not impressed with his antics ... slashing a referee while in the ECHL ... cross-checking a teenager in the neck during a ball hockey game a few summers back. His scum-baggary extends beyond the NHL.

I'm thinking there's a possibility he can't fly. The post game TSN article mentions that Willy said Burrows' "upper body injury prevented him from flying to Vancouver with his teammates".

Could just be a timing issue, and he couldn't make it to the airport in time after the hospital. But as somebody who routinely tells patients that they can't fly because they have a 'pneumothorax' (collapsed lung, common complication following a displaced broken rib), I'm suspicious that he's got one and will be driving back to Vancouver.

If true, no way he plays for a while.

If you're getting this info from someone in the medical community you really should keep the information to yourself. As much as we like to know what happens your friend/source is telling you that stuff thinking it won't get out to the public. Again, not chastising you for saying this info and for all I know it's totally fine to pass on from where you got the info, but just make sure to keep peoples privacy in mind when posting medical info.
