Ok, but in the end, it's just a game.

Surprisingly there appears to be some details - "displaced broken rib". Sounds to be the result of an off target puck in the morning skate. None of this is official beyond him missing tonight's game, but the info seems to be reliable.

I actually wish he wasn't injured at all and was playing so he could take some more abuse. Good luck Bieksa; more for you you little dbag.

Sure.

But this is a guy that plays a style that can have legimately life altering consequences for the recipients of his cheap shots. He doesn't seem to worried about that.

When he stops playing like that I will start carring about his health.

There are literally thousands and thousands of nice people that have real probelms every day. I dont care what happens to Burrows.

Not known for cheap shots? What color is the sky in your world?! He is the definition of cheapshotting rat.

Maybe he was confused by the word 'merchant', because Burrows gives cheap shots away for free, so he's more of a cheap shot donator.

Mark Spector @SportsnetSpec
One more Burrows note: No surgery for Burrows, Canucks say. A "hockey related injury." No vital organs or illness involved.

I know I'm the guy who saw Bouma with a hand cast and people doubted me.

You can doubt my next insider info if you like, but it comes from a very reliable source close to the Canucks: Burrows hurt his ribs when he fought Russell. Apparently, he was sore but what set it off was during practice when he was taking shots.

FYI - I'm not posting this for attention. I love my fellow Flames fans. I'm just passing on what I heard from a very reliable source.

Thoughts and prayers to Alexander Burrows!

Friedman I believe it was, reported this today on the radio, how unfortunate. Nobody, and I mean nobody, wishes harm something like this in a fight.

I'm pretty sure most of us are ok with the rat getting a broken rib in a fight. If he let's it heal he'll be fine.

One suspension in ten seasons. For finishing a check of all things. Pretty funny that a guy like Chris Pronger gets all the sympathy in the world for his injury despite being a really dirty player. But hes a good western guy that plays with an edge.

I dislike Burrows because he dives, whines, bites players and is an overall circus side show.

Never once have I thought that because he was a francophone. I actually was oblivious to the fact he is.

What does what he's actually been suspended for have to do with anything?

In case you've lived the last decade under a rock:

Now I've already stated I think it's detestable to wish harm or injury on anyone. I would much rather see Burrows on the ice so he can be legitimately crushed with disappointment when we eliminate his team...

But you seem to be suggesting he isn't an utter piece of trash, when he very most certainly is. This is a guy who bites and pulls hair.

This is a guy who did this in the off season:

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...rticle1200793/

I mean, we only need to look back to his *last game played* to see him blindsiding Gaudreau with a boarding hit from behind.

Give your head a shake.

Most people I talk hockey with think Pronger is a very dirty player.
"A good western guy" really?

Is it possible that you are the one being over protective of the fact Burrows is francophone?

Pronger was born in Dryden, Ontario. That's not west.
