I think this thread finds it prettyw well... outside of three or four people, this thread reflects really well on CP's members.

I hope the broken rib was from Russell's take down in the instigated fight at the end of the game. Backfire!

It's a bit ironic that they lifted the suspension and now he can't play. The league looked like dummies and it didn't make a difference.

I think it is self inflicted just so he doesn't have to face the Flames tonight. broken rib or broken face, he made his decision.

Maybe he was trying to pull a Marlyn Manson?

It's a pretty safe bet it happened at practice. Could have been a shot hit him, could have lost his footing and slid into the boards, lots of things could have happened. But there's no way he would have practiced if he'd sustained it in the last game.

Apparently he was hit by a puck.
No report if it was on purpose or not. :0

I can't believe this is Burrows you are all defending. The guy is definition of Canuck scumbaggery.

I sure hope his injury isn't life threatening because you never wish that upon another person, but strictly speaking from a hockey fan's point of view here, the guy has made millions off of just being a deutschebank over the years. I'm sure he's going to be just fine after his playing days come to an end. And I for one am not going to miss him on the ice.
+1

Burrows leaves in an ambulance, sven arrives in the waambulance.

Not sure the "I know what I said was bad but there was worse" tack is the right one to take here.

Good bit of karma. At least one Canuck was deserving of a suspension. Now one gets injured in practice and can't play.

LOL at anyone who said that the Canucks are a worse team with Burrows and Bieksa in the line up. I feel dumber just reading those comments.
