I had the goose bumps again and I could not help but get a bit misty with a joker style smile on my face when I heard Han's voice.
Just watched it another five times in a row. Who even cares about Avengers or Batman.. just give me Star Wars.

Seeing the wrecked Star Destroyer on the planet brought back memories of the Dark Empire comics with the total battleground that was Coruscant, complete with a Rebel controlled Star Destroyer that crash landed on the planet.
Wow a lot of elements looked better then I thought they would.
We saw two of the primary villains in Kylo Ren and the Chrome Stormtrooper (Inquisitor possibly).
We see two of the old heros in Chewie and Han (Nerded out for that one)
We don't see Leia or a full look at look, though we see a hooded figure with R2 and the artificial hand.
We see three of the new main characters in Fin, Rey, and the X-Wing pilot
We have a hint of linage.
I loved the old star Destroyers, but that new one looked amazing. We saw the black tie fighter that probably belongs to chrome person.
We saw more of the falcon.
Yes Kylo Ren's look is very Revan like, that might be intentional, is he a Sith Lord? Just a fallen Jedi? Two there are no more no less a master and an apprentice, is he the master or the apprentice?
Spoiler!
some guesses about the true nature of the villain.
1) Darth Plagueis - Sideous' master, the one who was so powerful in the force that he could cheat death.
2) Darth Sideous - I doubt this one, he's dead, if he's alive then the whole Star Wars story goes out the window. What I would love to see is a holocron containing a recording of Palpatine talking about the power of the dark side.
3) This ones out there, the Sith Emperor from the old republic, Considered to be the true personification of the dark side. It would explain the title of the Force Awakens.
I like the Storm Trooper armor but nothing beats the Clone Trooper armor from Revenge of the Sith, maybe because they were pretty idividualized.
Finally saw the cross sabre being used, it looks like its handled like a broad sword instead of like a sabre.
Great exciting preview

At the end of the trailer there's a link to the Battlefront 3 trailer which goes live tomorrow. There's also an expectation of a preview of next season of rebels coming soon.
Great day for Star Wars fans.

Going to spoiler a guess here as to the sith revan looking mofo.
Spoiler!
from spoilers I read months ago, ren is a collector of sith artifacts and the revan mask is part of his collection. Probably has a whole set up of sith memrobilia.
lol this. And the female lead is always staring intensely into the distance/at something. I think/hope it was just a poor choice of scenes.
For those of us that havent looked for plot spoilers, the plot is still very ambiguous after this trailer.. Where's our young apprentice of luke's? Is it going to be the girl (or daughter)? Im not sure I'm too crazy about that idea. I wish the trailer showed more of the new cast.
I'm glad those posters came out, cuase it gives a better idea of the enemy we're looking at. I'm going to guess this Kylo Ren is sith of some sort who rounds up a number of the empire's fleets and troopers and takes over. And the left over rebels have acquired their own troopers, seeing the good black guy. Some clarification would be nice though cause its hard to tell exactly where they're going with this. It seems like a set up for a one movie arc, not three.
Ok here's where I nerd out and throw some things around. In spoiler tags of course
Spoiler!
First of all, to me unless there's a good explanation Kylo can't be a Sith, I'll do the however before. The Sith line and all of its knowledge died when Palpatine took a body surfing lesson into a reactor and Vader died, thus for-filling the chosen one destiny.
The Sith from the time of Bane were based around two Sith at all time so that the Dark Side of the Force could basically be concentrated in two who could best represent it, instead of being like the Jedi who were in the thousands.
However, as Yoda said the prophesy could have been mis-interpreted. When Vader bought balance to the force he killed the two most powerful dark side users and pushed the force back to the light. What if the force wasn't meant to be balanced that way and there were meant to be a dark and a light side working in balance to shape the galaxy. We saw that in the Clone Wars series which is still Canon when we had the Son (dark), Daughter (light) and Father (bridge). When the daughter and father died the force slid deeper into darkness.
Ok so going back to Kylo, unless there was another Sith out there that apprenticed him, he wouldn't get the training that he needed to assume the mantel of Dark Lord of the Sith. By definition Sith Lords were different then mere dark side users. Dark Side users harnessed their greed, anger, hatred and attachments and basically became destructive whirl winds. The Sith used those emotions to get passed morality in pursuit of a higher goal, Bringing Peace to the Galaxy through gaining maximum power.
Going back to the Luke voice over about his father, he and his sister having the power and you have the power too. The assumption is that Luke is talking about Ray or one of the other hero characters, however, what if it was a flashback and he was talking to his son, or his sisters son, who fell to the darkside and becomes Kylo. It makes sense, since the Skywalkers seem to effect the force heavily.
Ok, wait there's more, the assumption is that Kylo is collecting Sith artifacts. What if Luke spent the years after the war finding and hiding all Sith knowledge and vanished so he could protect it and prevent the Sith from rising. What if Kylo who desires to gain knowledge through power is trying to get all of the Sith information that he can and this brings him into a quest where he's hunting for Lukes stash of Sith artifacts.
Then its logical that in the end of the first movie he finds this knowledge and takes it and becomes the key villain as a new Lord of the Sith.
As well you have to wonder what his link is with the Imperial Commander and the Empire. It seems logical that after the war the Empire or what's left of it figured out what Vader and Palpatine were and they are fractured, but the intent is to find a new powerful Emperor to unite the Empire and end this destructive conflict. so they throw their support behind Kylo, The Imperial Commander is basically his Darth Vader but without the force powers. Or maybe she has him, and Kylo has promised her an apprenticeship once he gains the mantel of Dark Lord of the Sith.
Just some thoughts
