I would imagine just something else with a Flames logo on it. Don't think we need to read anything else into it. Just great to get the kids involved when they are young like that.

She's more clever than you all think.

It means that the Flames send all the other teams golfing.

See LA for example.

My main concern for the series is that the Canucks may be able to find a way to shut down our big 3. In the regular season, most teams just play their own game and almost ignore the opposition (to a degree). While in the playoffs they focus everything against a single team and devise strategies to target their strengths.
Obviously this works both ways...but I do feel we could be in big trouble if they find a way to shut down GMH, our bottom 3 lines have been pretty abysmal...especially without our 4th best scoring fwd (Bouma) injured.
I am feeling confident though...good matchup for us.
If only every start wasn't 10PM EST....lots of long nights for us transplanted Calgarians living out East.

So is Sven slotted into the lineup now that he scored two meaningless goals last game?

Scott Cullen posted an article predicting the first round. He has Canucks in 6, with Bouma having 3 points in the series.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl-playoff-picks-...nging-1.255002

Quote:
It would be easy to summarily dismiss the Flames, who defied the odds to reach the postseason, despite ranking 27th in possession (43.9%) after the trade deadline, but the matchup with Vancouver isn't a bad one for them. The Canucks weren't possession world-beaters (47.4%) late in the year either, so that isn't necessarily a big advantage in this case. Where the Canucks may have an advantage is that their defence corps is healthy now and that should allow them to get favourable matchups against the Flames' top line of Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan and Jiri Hudler. If the Canucks can slow them down with Chris Tanev and Alexander Edler, that will put pressure on the rest of the lineup to produce. In the Canucks' case, obviously the Sedins will be the focus, but they also diversified the attack later in the year, with Radim Vrbata giving the second line an offensive jolt.
More than anything, it rubs me the wrong way when writers look at match-ups purely from one side. A series is played by two teams from two viewpoints. To analyze one side and say "well, look! Edler and Tanev! They're going to stop Monahudreau! Series solved!" aggravates me. Detailed articles would analyze both sides of the series and weigh the strengths of one team against the weaknesses/strengths of the other and come up with some conclusion based on some logic. To only look from one vantage point shows (whether actual or perceived) bias towards one team. He might (won't) be right, but at least take the time to be objective.

Looking for a good sign to or banner to fly behind enemy lines on Friday! Were in the lower bowl so a good one might get on tv.

I can't think of anything yet. I will have to look through their line up. I wish Sven was playing, that could be a gold mine.

My biggest worry about the series is the absence of Bouma. We've been raving all year how great he's been and how he is a prototypical playoff player.

I thought he could be a difference maker in the series. Time will tell.

We do still have a hell of a first line which we've been sorely lacking for years.

It's a 1 paragraph blurb on his personal predictions. Why do you think he had to do in depth analysis?

And it didn't say they were going to stop. It said "If the Canucks can slow them down with Chris Tanev and Alexander Edler, that will put pressure on the rest of the lineup to produce." which is 100% correct.

I think you just don't like he took Vancouver

I was thinking the same. Flying out for game 1, lower bowl. Need something epic. Sitting with a bunch of nucks fans so I'll be a bright red spot among some garbage blue.

Craig Button on That's Hockey 2-Nite picked the Flames to prevail over the Nucks.
