If he's intelligent he looks at the team and realizes he needs to steal a job. Good enough isn't good enough; better than Diaz, Engelland, Smid, Potter and Schlemko should be his goal. If it's not he's got the wrong priorities because that's the only way onto the team.

Simply no reason to play a young guy like Spoon unless he forces managements hand like Jooris, Bouma and Gaudreau. They were looking for reasons to send those 3 down and they all stole the job.

Who else was given a new number......Baertschi, Knight..... Hmmmmm. Nothing to read into it just a bit ironic that three guys who have their numbers promoted don't see much action and two are gone

Everyone's optomistic about Bennett. I sure am. But there's a difference between optomistic and saying he's automatically better than any particular guy (not just Raymond). Same goes for Spoon versus, say, Diaz. No guarantees of a bigger impact.
