The Habs will still win. I fully expect the Jets to drop off significantly now.

Rage inducing OOT today. Tokarski starts against the Jets. Berra starts against the Canucks.

You think that's bad, Avs to start Berra against Van tonight.

I dunno, the OOT has been so bad for us that this could in some weird twist of fate be a good thing.

It seems apparent to me that after the loss to the Flames, the Avs have thrown in the white towel. Hence the loss to the Oilers and giving Berra some starts.

There's a great vibe around the Flames this season...I truly believe they'll make it (not that my feelings mean much).

Well Berra makes sense, honestly do the Canucks get a team on the 2nd half of back to backs every single night?

The Canucks will be the rested team facing a tired team on the second night of back-to-backs 19 times, more than any other team this season. That’s right: just under a quarter of their schedule is against teams that will have played the night before. This is according to Gus Katsaros, who has tracked this for several seasons.

Again, though, the first night of the back to back is the Oilers, so it shouldn't count for a full one.
EDIT: Equally amazing that Anaheim and LA get 18 and 17, and SJS get six. Seems unfair somehow, when you take into account that this was probably done to accommodate the west coast teams for having such a garbage travel schedule.

And yet, as often as not, the Flames and Oilers have just as many or more travel miles. But no concessions there.

Hartley should sit the guys down and have them watch the Calgary Flames playoffs when they won the Stanley Cup. The adrenalin rush, the Sea Of Red was so amazing that it was hard not to believe we couldn't win every game. If the players could get into that mind set; It's one of those reasons we miss Gio so much he has that ability to make something happen late in games when we striving for a comeback. Wouldn't mind seeing some 1989 videos posted on cp to get the ball rolling.

I get to correct sureLoss - Dailyfaceoff.com says it's a confirmed start for Varlamov. Unless there's some better source I don't know of.

EDIT: Alright the Avs board on HF is echoing sureloss and assumedly they got that somewhere, so I don't even know anymore.

Yeah okay. I should have known better than to question him. More fool me for trusting dailyfaceoff (though they're usually pretty good).
