I agree with Gilbert. Love McCullum's aggression but you can't play a shot on every ball. A boundary in an over plus singles will also do the trick.

He's a much better batsman but he really reminds me of Afridi, trying to clear the fence on every ball.

Kiwis do have a long batting lineup, all it takes a Anderson cameo and it's game on. Hopefully an exciting finish.

Eden park was going nuts so I imagine Auckland won't be sleeping either.

Man those two missed catches were crazy. Same with the fumbles by the keeper and de Villiers. I'm still buzzing haha

This is why I love cricket. What a game. Congrats to South Africa but I will never understand going into a cricket match with only 4 bowlers. I don't even know when this trend started but SA's part-timers went for 64 runs in 8 overs. But When Dale Steyn goes for nearly 9 and over and can't defend 12 runs in the last over you know it's not your day. Good luck next time South Africa.

Huge congrats to New Zealand, just one more game now. Come big in that and make you nation proud. Elliot (born South African) came up huge, Vettori what a player. Anderson and obviously McCullum's initial burst (if they win the game it's great but if you lose then the fault will fall on McCullum). The bowlers controlled the game early on but you knew AB/Miller/Faf were going to put up a decent total.

On to the two bullies of the cricket world.

What a match! I was so sure SA would win especially with Steyn bowling the last over. I don't even know how Vettori got a boundary off that yorker, just brilliant. SA retain the title of chokers in a way with all the missed opportunities but then again this was a game where both teams deserved to win. Huge congrats to the Kiwis!

Nothing would feel better than to beat Australia in Australia in a World Cup game tomorrow night, well beating Pakistan (again!) was pretty awesome but this is a bigger game with higher stakes against a top cricketing nation. I'm fully prepared to be happy and disappointed, lol.

GO INDIA!

Man that had to be the match of the tournament so far. Thought SA were going to win just prior to the rain delay as that partnership was really heating up. Congrats Kiwi's, and hats off to SA.

I think this tournament is definitely NZ's to lose. They've been excellent top to bottom.

Last three overs:

Now it's time for the cricket. The Aussies lost Warner early but since then Finch and Smith have formed a solid partnership.

Hopefully Australia can post a big score and win the game. It would be amazing to have an Australia vs NZ final.

Couldn't sleep so I fired up the game. I had no idea they use the "Snicko" system to help determine challenges. What a cool use of technology.

For anyone curious..

India bowled out for 233; Australia win by 95 runs to set up an epic finale to this tournament.

Watched Australia's innings at the pub, got home and India were pretty much done for.

Although I wanted an NZ v Aus final I just can't bring myself to cheer for Australia in certain sports (sorry FireGilbert).

Having said that, the hosts facing off and this being NZ's first final just makes for an awesome match. This is gonna be good no matter what.

Edit: Warne is a good commentator, hope he does the final.

I'm betting most of the commentator will be at the Finals, Warne will definitely be there.
