I don't know why everyone is panicking... we've only gone pointless in 2 games this month, its not like the wheels are coming off
5-3 is very doable plus we get the oilers and the yotes

Why does Hartley have so much patience with a 6'5" centre who wins 52% of his faceoffs and uses his long reach and big frame to break up plays here and there? It's beyond me...

You failed to read my other post on the topic. I have confidence he will turn into a great 3/4 line C for this team however we have seen other players lose ice time over play similar to his.
That boarding call is called 10x out of 10 and it was a stupid hit to make however I know for a fact that Hartley is very hard on certain guys to play the body and play a physical game. I can see this being the case with Joe and it hasnt ever been a huge part of his game. Once he learns how to effectively use his size and puts on some strength, he will be a fantastic 3/4 option.
All that said, it doesnt mean he cant sit a game or 2. I would rather see him sit than go down to the 4th line which will do less good.
Does anyone elses heart stop beating when Johny is out for OT? He is magical in the O zone but not so much in the D zone when it turns into a gritty cycle.

Amazes me how Gaudreau can hold onto the puck in the offensive zone while everyone else on the team passes it away or loses it along the boards. You gotta wonder how every opposing team can pass the puck tape to tape and hem the Flames in their own zone for more than 2/3 of the game? We need more Gaudreau's in a Flames uniform!

Here's tonight's bit of good news:
Sean Monahan: 6 shots, 1A, +1, with 26:30 of ice-time including 6:30 of PK time.
Kid is a goddamn hockey player.

what I don't get is why people are getting mad at the team for giving up a point to Dallas. Has anyone looked at their roster? I don't care about the standings the Flames were clearly the underdog in this game

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
Goaltending clearly an edge for Dallas
That blueline is really good with the emergence of Klingberg now to go with Daley (out tonight), Goligoski, Demers, etc.
And the forward group is STACKED.
I don't really get why they are where they are in the standings.

It's not like the non-playoff teams that the Flames are facing and have played against are that easy to beat either.

See when I see posts like this I think you are just trolling for a reaction. Surely you know how people will respond. There is no insight with the post, just a throw away comment to get people riled up.
So if that's the case just don't bother going forward OK. There are interesting things to talk about both about this game and about the race going forward. Allow people that want to have that discussion to have it without this stuff throwing people into fits.

Last ten record of 1-0-1 so far, so not too bad. That might be one they turned a loss into an OTL.

Yeah, I agree. I'd rather pick on Raymond who's been useless for most of the season.

It is tough to not get the two points tonight but all I can say is:
My God, it is fun (and super stressful) to be in a playoff race.

Ive justified my logic multiple times and just like 96 points will mean nothing, that point was a huge loss.
Let's hope the Islanders pull it out.

Colborne is now 25 and playing wing on a rebuilding Flames team. He is a decent faceoff guy, but the idea that he'll ever be an effective centre for the team is getting pretty far fetched in my mind.
