3rd staight OT/SO game the Flames have only come away with the one point. 3 huge points...

Except they have injury issues and their next 3 are Montreal, Chicago, and the Rangers. I think they lose all 3.

Raymond was absolutely brutal.

He assisted on a Derek Engelland goal. That's just dumb luck.

When he utilizes his speed he is extremely effective and can make defenders look silly, but then the play instantly dies whenever he tries to do anything with the puck. Shoots? Either whiffs or goes wide. Passes? Whiffs or puts it behind the attacker. Not sure what he can provide moving forward but it will need to be positive if the Flames intend on getting in.

The main challenges I see with this team are.
1. They are fatigued. The D in particular is playing a ton of minutes. No choice but it is having an impact
2. Their goalies don't steal wins very often.
3. They don't have another gear. Other teams are elevating their play this time of season - the Flames have been playing b's to the w the entire season.

But they are hanging in there.

except the tying goal which was all him going to the net

In your opinion, and in actual fact, so we've got that going for us. Which is nice.

But at least when they are losing they are getting a point.

Not winning the first 3-2 Colorado game, the only point from Columbus and tonight may come back to haunt us. But even single points are crucial at this stage. I'll take it - but we have very tough games coming up. These were supposed to be the ones we take fully. Things looking dimmer.

Hopefully the islanders can #### up the Kings tomorrow. If not, I've lost faith in humanity

He was in the box for Benn's PP goal so the screen is cancelled out.

He was brutal tonight.

Really? They face Tokarski in net, not Price, so the Montreal game is very winnable. Chicago is playing terrible right now, and we've seen how bad the Rangers shat the bed the last time we needed anything from them. I'd bet the Jets win all three more than they would lose all three

They had started to carry the play in the 2nd but unfortunately the late giveaway and goal really killed the momentum.

Man this road trip is going to be murder... on the road you have
Minny with probably the best goalie in hockey
Nashville playing average lately but still 3rd best in the conference
Dallas the hottest team in the western conference
St. Louis the best team in the conference over the whole season and
Edmonton just as they start to play OK (I know a 3-2 stretch is not great but they won't be a pushover either)

Winnable games on paper: Edmonton, maybe steal a point in Nashville.

Not that I'm writing them off but this bad homestand really put them in a tough spot.

To be fair to him that was a dive as well.

They were down to 5 AHL defensemen and Dustin Byfuglien for about 10 games this year, and managed to stay afloat. And now Buff is out, they are still winning games.

They have certainly exceeded expectations, just in a different way.
