The first was a dud, but the Flames were in it for the rest of the game. This clip sums up my feelings while I watched.

I'm with ErickEstrada, they definitely look to be a team that is simply at the end of their tank and just a little too early, unfortunately.

Obviously I hope that's proven wrong and we can sneak in, but the last few games you can kind of see it coming. Whether they make it or not though, this has been one of the best seasons in my Flames watching career.

Just simply incredible what we have been able to accomplish with a salary cap floor salary and no Giordano for the playoff push. So proud of this team.

Would have been a soft call if you look at it from Dallas' perspective. Still think we got lucky on that goal that was called back.

Take the point and keep marching. Is that 2-1-2 on the home stand? I think most people were predicting 6-7 points the other day so whatevs.

No doubt. Raymond is just not being a positive contributor at all right now.

A point is better than none but I'm pretty annoyed they pissed away another should have point. It might end up costing them in the end.

I thought Raymond actually had a pretty good game (for him). He looked like he might be getting ready to go on another little streak. Looked more confident with the puck than he has in quite a while, and was finally utilizing his speed.

Was he? I thought he was being pushed and lost his balance which wouldn't have been a call. Still though, this was a night that we needed some more from our entire forward group. Bits and flashes from Colborne and Bouma but both ultimately had weak games overall.

Flames still control their own fate. Go 5-3 and you are in.

Winnipeg though, is exceeding expectations as much or more than the Flames.

Our OT record since Paul Byron got injured:

Minnesota L
Philadelphia - W
Boston - Went to shootout
Ottawa - Went to shootout
Columbus - L
Dallas - Went to shootout

We've only won one OT game since then. Obviously missing Giordano and Paul, these guys have been our 4vs4 rocks all season.

Unless LA and Winnipeg win more, which they are.

Either way they have been getting points.

Outside of the Flyers game I didn't think they played well on this home stand. Maybe heading on the road will do them some good. They pretty well have to play well on this trip given the points they left on the table tonight and Saturday.

Colborne with an atrocity out there. Simply two inexcusable offensive zone penalties, 2 of the 3 calls the refs got right (Backlund with the other lazy penalty) and a pathetic shootout attempt.

One of the worst games seen by a single player on the Flames in the past month.

Also giving up 7 powerplays is not exactly a smart move to generate momentum throughout the game. You could take a couple off for the flip flopping but the Flames were generally undisciplined.
