I don't have a clip, but it was during the first intermission of the Hometown Hockey game in Winnipeg on October 19.
Gaudreau had yet to score a single point in the season in five games, and had been a healthy scratch the previous game in Columbus. There was talk of him getting sent down if he didn't start performing.
Then, Healy went on his little rant, Johnny scored a goal and an assist in the second period, Healy immediately looked like an ass, and Johnny hasn't slowed down since.
You realize they're both 21, right? I'd kill to have either on this team.
Sure, but Landeskog seems VERY rushed into that captain role IMO.
Look at the list of NHL captains and you see players who have:
-Lead the team in scoring
-Big voice in the NHL (well known)
-Respected by other teams/players
^Sure he leads his team in points but does he fit the rest?
When Crosby was named the Penguins captain that was a different situation. Crosby put up a crazy amount of points for a rookie and was noted as "generational talent".
And sure Girgensons is 21 but he only has 30 points (2 more than Bouma) and was INSANLEY over-hyped for the All-Star games.
After the big announcement today I had to watch Super Troopers again. I watched both scenes involving the snozzberries kid thinking it was actually JG. I've come to the conclusion that we need more GIFs of that scene in PGTs when Johnny has a huge game.

This was pretty much it. He basically called out Johnny, saying that he hadn't earned his moniker. The part that really pissed me off was that he kept talking as if Johnny Football was a huge success. At the time of Healy being an ass, Johnny Football had had 0 starts and was 0-1 in the one snap of he had seen in the NFL. #### I hate Healy, he really sucks.
