Trouba with a good hit. Burrows trying to embellish it.

There's basically 10 games left in the season for everyone and not a single team has clinched a playoff spot yet. Only the tanking losers have clinched lottery spots.

The Coyotes beat Detroit in overtime, 5-4.

The Predators beat the Canadiens 3-2 in overtime.

Well.

This has "low scoring game with a third period tying goal to send it to OT" written all over it.

Awesome.

My favorite is Burrows skating into Trouba and then asking for a penalty.

Is anyone else stuck with some Canucks fund drive? Watching Sportsnet West.

"Stuck"? I'd rather they use the intermission to raise money for a children's hospital than have another useless fifteen minutes of Nick Kypreos and Doug Maclean yelling idiotic nonsense at each other... this is a significant improvement over the usual.

Not quite what I meant. It was on before the start of the game and I had to tune out for the first period. I wasn't aware it was the intermission and simply thought I was in some regional blackout or something.

And good on Sportsnet for giving the Canucks a national broadcast for Canucks for Kids. Say what you want about the Canucks, but they do a great job raising money for charity.

It's the current point totals plus one extra point for every regulation win...

TBL 99 + 41 = 140
NYR 99 + 37 = 136
MTL 99 + 36 = 135
NYI 93 + 31 = 124
PIT 91 + 31 = 122
WAS 88 + 31 = 119
DET 89 + 29 = 118
OTT 85 + 28 = 113
-----------------
BOS 84 + 25 = 109
FLA 80 + 24 = 104
NJD 73 + 26 = 99
CBJ 72 + 23 = 95
PHI 74 + 21 = 95
CAR 62 + 21 = 83
TOR 60 + 21 = 81
BUF 47 + 11 = 58

STL 99 + 32 = 131
ANA 99 + 31 = 130
NAS 96 + 31 = 127
CHI 94 + 32 = 126
MIN 91 + 34 = 125
VAN 88 + 33 = 121
LAK 86 + 33 = 119
WPG 88 + 27 = 115
-----------------
CGY 86 + 27 = 113
DAL 80 + 30 = 110
SJS 78 + 30 = 108
COL 78 + 22 = 100
EDM 53 + 13 = 66
ARI 50 + 13 = 63

The only difference it would make to the playoff picture is to put the Flames out and the Kings in.

Except that it would probably influence more teams to try to win in regulation.

Is it just me or do the Canucks not appear to care?
