Exactly what I said. Luckily, all I had was a 2yr old that heard me.

I'm still wondering where that decision came from. I sent a dman on a shootout once in rec league, and he took a slap shot from the hash marks. Stink eyed me the whole way back to the bench.

Who sends a bottom pairing dman in on a shootout to win a game?

That Hartley guy. He knows a thing or two.

Since we're singing everyones praises here, how about Wideman? Playing some of the best hockey in his career I think, right when we need it the most.

People were asking for this, but I don't think it's been posted yet. Here's Roger's interview with Schlemko after the game (yes, they censored his f-bomb): http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/s...ve-bit-juniors

So Is the blocked shots thing an official record or does the NHL not keep official track of those things?

I think they said Russell's 15 blocked last nights is a new NHL record for blocked shots in a game since the NHL started tracking this about 20 years ago.

			Russell:
 32+ minutes? Check.
 15 blocks? Check.
 Couple of PP assists? Check.
Tell coach to throw Schlemko out in the SO? Check.

That picture is nothing without Hudler.
He looks like a crazy-faced marionette that someone sat on the edge of the bench.

Not sure about Bouma and Gaudreau though.

One beside Poirier is definitely Colborne. I think Johnny would look quite a bit smaller next to him, I think that's Backlund. The one on the end could be Shore, but I'm pretty sure Bouma.

Hudler is just an odd-looking human. Could you imagine the photogenic possibilities of him and Olli Jokinen on the same team?

Yep, this is so very true. I thought last season when Giordano went down, Wideman stepped up tremendously. It lasted until he got hurt, came back and just 'lost it', then got hurt again, and returned playing even worse. He makes mistakes sometimes - every defencemen does - but I think Wideman is underrated and under-appreciated for being a pretty good defencemen at both ends of the ice.

Hudler always looked like a Keebler elf to me. Should be cooking wafers in a big tree house or something.
