It was a prank. Wideman isn't going anywhere. People bringing up Wideman in trade ideas are just greedy smurfs thinking acquiring the best picks you can is alwys the best way to go.
The Flames top 4 aren't going anywhere. Flames are still fighting and sitting in 3rd in the division.
EDIT: Kindl could be a decent grab for depth. He's putting up points and he's a great skater. Not Brodie great but streets ahead of Engelland or Smid.

Regardless of his injury status, the fact that Gio is 31 makes me think we should always be looking for another high-end dman for the long-term...but I don't think the trade deadline is the place to address that.
Either way, stay the hell way from Phaneuf.

The thought of Phaneuf until 2021 while already showing regression makes my stomach curl. I hope the Flames keep far away from a deal around Phaneuf.

Depends, what would you project the Cap to be in 2020?
Honestly I'd take Dion back at full price for his contract... I just wouldn't give up anything of significant future value. Dion is overpaid... but he's not a bad player, he's just paid like he's a great player.
