Definatley shaping to be a sellers market. I'm very happy with the return and feel it's fair value, however thought first rounder would have tilted in the favor of Calgary. Can't complain though as adding 2 picks in a deep year can't be a bad thing

Excellent return. Kind of wanted a prospect in lieu f the third but my wants are irrelevant.
Walking away with two mid round picks for Glencross is a win. Good luck Mr.Glencross.
When it was mentioned he was going to Washington and someone said Madison Bowey, well I got my hopes up so these two picks aren't quite as good.
Bowey was selected mid 2nd round, our pick from Washington should be just below that. Tonnes of good blueliners in this draft if that's what anyone is interested in.

Homerun? We get picks that have about a 25% and 10% chance of turning into a player who will play 100 games IN THEIR CAREER!
The chance of one of these picks being as good as Glencross is probably less then 15%
It's exhausting having to make the obvious argument over and over about the value of picks when all of Calgary's most impactful players from this season save giordano and Hiller were either drafted or acquired via trade with picks.
Look at the roster and explain to me how picks aren't important.

I think that tsn vote is because most fans don't know what Glencross brings to the table when he's paired with a fast skating center who keeps him playing at full pace.

I'm happy with the return and also with the roster spot that is now open to another player. Good luck to Glencross, he had some really good moments here and I hope he hits a hot streak that earns him a couple extra million bucks in UFA negotiations (especially when the Capitals plays teams from the West).
Great return, I think. Good for Treliving to wait patiently and get that extra 3rd pick.
Best of luck in Washington, Curtis!

This I know but Bowey also has two years of successful development.
I think a first was an overpayment for Vermette and would have been even more so for Glencross. He is a good role guy, but not a top line winger. A decent second line guy and 3rd liner on a good team. He never broke 50 points and only 20 goals twice. I think he gets overrated a lot on this board because he has a huge heart, and while that may be a big thing for teams like the Flames, I don't think that puts him in first round pick territory.

Earlier in this insane mega-thread it was hinted at that Glencross was meeting with Treliving to pick which team.
Hmm, didn't read that way to me.
Sounded like the only two who knew about the deal were the two GMs, Treliving and in Washington, and that Glencross was meeting with treliving to decide if he was going to waive.
