The only other type of deal I want to see is if we can take on a big contract and get a few picks or prospects. I really don't think we should be trying to land a big name right now. Stay the course

I've always wanted something like this too.
Or, a better way might be if the OP to the thread could update, in their original post, what post is where all the updates started, that would help tons too.

I like Glencross and was hoping he would stay BUT I am also happy that he gets traded to the Eastern team. It is just getting annoying to see Glencross getting blamed everytime the Flames lose a game. People claiming Hartley is not a smart coach for keeping Glencross on the ice late in the game, or Glencross can't shoot or just floating around. No matter what the score, someone will blame him. So, now that Glencross Is gone, I feel for the next CP victim.
Good luck Glennie in Washington!!

Dang, I was hoping the Flames can get more than just a 2nd and 3rd round pick seeing that Vermette fetched a 1st rounder from Chicago.

I really hope a deal or two comes out of left field tomorrow and the Flames bolster their offense somehow.
Might be done on D with the waiver claim today.

Stajan's gotta go...
I'm hoping someone is really interested in Wideman as well in the next 23 hours or so.

Nice return. Good luck to Glencross in Washington.

who knows. Remember when Sutter claimed Lawrence Nycholat off waivers and then traded him one day later in a package deal for Jordan Leopold? So anything can happen I guess

I like how TSN put the ability to vote on which team won the trade.
http://www.tsn.ca/tradecentre/trades
Its a fair amount of people who think Calgary won this one

To get a 2nd AND a 3rd in the 2015 draft is a fantastic return; home run.

Not sure I would call it a homerun.
I would say based on what Jagr and Winnik got, Flames got market value.

Good luck Glenny, it was only a matter of time.
I like the return and don't think we could've got much more for him. No point acquiring more B-C level prospects as we're overloaded with them anyways.
Picks are not only future building pieces, but also currency for potential trade deadline and off-season deals.

Well technically Giordano is the longest standing member on the roster, so that's not quite accurate.
