With the recent trade activity, I would think a 2nd + is realistic, if not conservative.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
Well, if Jagr (at this stage in his career) can bring back a 2nd and a conditional 3rd, I like the chances of Glencross bringing back at least that rumoured 2nd.

I'm starting to wonder WHY a Glencross trade hasn't happened yet.
Has me starting to think it will either be part of a bigger trade, or a precursor to a bigger deal where we move out the assets we get from trading him.

Has me thinking Treliving has a very high price for him and is prepared to wait until the last possible minute to deal him.
I'm still holding out hope there's some way we can get a late 1st rd pick for Glencross. I think prices have been much higher this season and it could be what Treliving is holding out for.
Then possibly turn that around into a good prospect/player from another team? You have to think Glencross is much more valuable than Jagr!?
I never proposed that, I simply said we would have to move one of those 3 if we wanted Alzner, just a statement of facts, nothing more.

And what makes it worse - and annoying for people - is you state that same opinion almost every time a trade is proposed.
And what makes it even more annoying is that you admitted, in another thread, that you don't follow prospects much.

@Enoch Root: so? It's irrelevant that I don't following middling prospects that much. Ones like Bennett/Gaudreau, yes I keep a tab on, ones like Hunter Smith ?not so much.

Although a 42 year old Jagr beat Glencross' career year by 19pts. Teams probably value Jagr as a rental more so than Glencross. I'm hoping for a 2nd and anything on top of that is gravy. Options are running out for teams but so are trade destinations. Hopefully Treliving can work some magic.

I'm with you. At this point in time, I just hope we at least get a 2nd for Curtis.
I agree that Jagr has more value, depending on individual team needs.
IMO Glencross can fill in on the top two lines if there is an injury, but ideally he belongs on the 3rd line.
REally ? Glencross is more valuable because of his speed, PK ability and play away from the puck. Jagr is useless right now if he is not putting up points.
I think Jagr is still capable of scoring, and is still better at it than Glencross - and that's obviously what Fla wants. Plus he's Jaromir freakin Jagr.
I do like that he's gone to a team not on Glencross' list. Keeps all the others in play. Maybe pressures TBL a bit.
