Ramo's save in the first got the highlight of the night from TSN. Thought he played great; and that is getting lost in the 1-0 loss here. Hope he starts tomorrow too

Agreed and he deserves to start the next game. No chance on the goal against, and he'd already used up his brilliant save of the night in the first period. Was generally well composed in the net and squared up to shooters well.

We need to start burying on our odd man rushes and breakaways. I'd be telling them to just fire the puck as hard as they can, quit diddling around with it. Jooris had the right idea on that 2 on 1 but into the chest.

Refs were poor. How the Monahan penalty is interference and Kreider's slewfoot isn't, I'll never understand. The Rangers did not play a penalty free game. Lining was also mediocre at best.
Most importantly, how the #### does Cam ####ing Talbot have four shutouts this year?

This one really mad me mad. Before the rangers score Colborne should have had a breakaway. Linesman calls offside when he was onside by a foot.
The linesman is right there too.

Hartley goes with Ramo until he has a bad outing. We need both playing solid to have any chance at the playoffs.

I'm really not into conspiracy theories but it does make you wonder, if there is a bit of bias or something. Because it is really good for the league for big teams like the Rangers to do well. More realistically the refs could be scared of making a wrong call against the home town team in buildings that have historically been really hard on refs. Honestly I think there was some bias tonight somehow, because it was that bad from both the refs and the linesmen. They just can't get that many calls wrong.

And ...we are in 9th.
RIP in peace sweet playoffs.
Trade Gaudreau, trade Bouma, put Gio on waivers, and sell the team to Kansas City.
edit: And just award the cup to the Kings tonight.

Focusing on the positives today
I thought both Poirier and Ferland were really good today. Ferland I thought was very physical - lost track of how many hits he made, but he seemed to routinely follow-through with tonnes of hits. Dropped the gloves to boot too. Poirier with just wonderful speed and grit out there - exactly what I was hoping he would show.
Ramo had a nice bounce-back game I thought.
With every passing game, the Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler line look more and more like a real 1st line. They just create so much out there. Unfortunate that there was no score, but I thought they looked very good.

You don't play goalies on back to backs against good teams. Historically even good goalies on back to backs only generate less than .900 goaltending on the seocnd night.
Hiller all the way.

The ref's were brutal tonight by far.
But the last little while since his what 25th injury? Backlund's has got to be by far the softest NHL player in the league. Why do we have to have this bounce fabric sheet on this team?
For all that is holy I pray that him and Grencross are shipped out as a bundle!

Keep that up and you'll be close to WRUCOS and RRR territory for irrational, uncalled for, over the top hate posts.

I keep hearing some of you say this, but it's not going to happen. The Canucks consistently beat good teams and rarely beat themselves. They also measure well on the advanced stats crap.
The Flames collapse hurts more as the Canucks continue to get stronger and win.

Would someone tell me why in the hell is Hartley playing Glencross since he's going to be gone by Mon. ? Glencross doesn't give any effort since he knows he's going elsewhere . Hartley is not a smart coach at all . Give me a fricken break !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And i'm sick of the turn overs . No reason for it !!!!!

To potentially increase his trade value and showcase him to other teams, my dear Emma Watson.
And I hope you realize the only reason the Flames are even fighting for a playoff spot is because of Hartley.
Back to the main story at hand.. The refs effed us up the A. We just needed 1 goal and deserved at least 2 powerplays which would of driven momentum.

Glencross plays because he is on the active roster and is a far more important contributor to this team than the likes of Bollig, no matter how blind some people choose to be.

Didn't play a ton (8mins), but showed some speed when out there, couple hits (credited with 1). Should have at least drawn a penalty if not a penalty shot on his breakaway, complete missed call. Overall decent for an NHL debut. Hopefully he's in the lineup again tonight, will be nice to see him play without the first game jitters.
