As for WEM, last time I went there I did the "$100 Hamburger Run" with a buddy and had some spaghetti for lunch, he bought some pants (no he didn't fly up pants-less) and then we flew back home to YYC (R.I.P. YXD). That was around 2000.
It would be kitty corner Calaway Park across Highway One. They started grading, but stopped for the winter. Should resume soon.

Hey, I wouldn't waste my time in Edmonchuk in the summer or if it was above say -20 in Calgary when I can skate around my Norman Rockwellesque lake without fear of getting stabbed (or blown up now, apparently). WEM is strictly for when it's insanely cold and I have nothing better to do. Stars must align for me to make that trek, but it does happen once a year.

Usually something bad happens, though. This last time, some guy shot a rock at me and cracked my windshield. Last time, as soon as I entered the city on Anthony Hyundai or whatever it's called, a piece of garbage flew up and wrapped around my antenna, flapping at me all the way until I reached the mall. It was so fitting.

I've done better then anyone I know at avoiding Edmonton. I've been to Edmonton once in my life for 2 days and I've lived in Calgary for 29 years. While there within 2 hours of arriving, I hit a pot hole and dented my rim, got in an altercation with a youth gang when one of them grabbed my friend's ass in a parking lot, and got yelled at for smoking outside on a top floor balcony at the hotel because apparently that's illegal there. Got invited to go to WEM but turned it down because I was already frustrated at having to be in Edmonton. Just a no good place all round.

Mall with lake = Objectively better than anything without a lake.

You don't want a Tanger outlet anyways. Premium Outlets are the good ones. I would bet that something around the Tsu Tina land gets done with one of the outlet companies once the ring road gets built as they have followed that model through out the US.
