I bet Nashville is a team Glencross would accept a trade to.

- again extrapolation, he didn't say any of this sort
- True... I agree there
- i think Hartley gave out ice time based upon many things, such as chemistry of players, depth, who is playing well recently etc.

Honestly all I saw from Glencross's comments were that he wants more ice time.... I don't think thats a issue for any GM suiter.
To be clear, I don't have an issue with a player speaking his mind, telling the truth. Some of my fav athletes are favs because they do...

I guess I didn't convey my meaning clearly...In my opinion (and it's just that, for what it's worth), Glencross is not a true Top 6 forward deserving of more minutes. I think there's quite a discrepancy about the player Glencross thinks he is versus the reality of what he is as a player today.

Hope he proves me wrong, goes out with reckless abandon and plays the optimal game he can play, maximizes his trade value and Treliving able to convert that into something golden for the Flames' future.

At his most effective (and uninjured), on a good team, I think he's an effective 3rd line player - who can get streaky and chip in offensively; maybe fill in on upper lines in event of injury.

I can't pretend to know all the inner workings of what else might be in play, be it his relationship with latest management/coaching personnel.

Maybe he does get dealt to a true Cup contender, maybe he makes an impact on that squad, but I can't imagine there's a more fun team to be a part of than the Flames right now and throughout this season - obviously it's the not the case for Curtis.

While I would be overjoyed by the acquisition of one Ryan Hartman, not a chace CHI moves him in a Glencross trade. Other players of interest would be:

Trevor Van Reimsdyk
Mark McNeil (really has come around since stumbling a bit earlier on in his development)
Joakim Nordstrom
Carl Dahlstrom
Klas Dahlback

I hope they don't, I hope they get teams upping the offers right up to deadline day. I don't think it is really that much of a distraction and you want the best return you can get.

A massive overreaction by fans does not a "bad distraction" in the locker room make.

The attacker Flames Curtis Glencross , submitted a list of teams he would accept being traded by the deadline of March 2, reports the Calgary Sun. According to the daily, the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay would be adopted by Glencross destinations.

RDS is quoting the Calgary Sun. And the Calgary Sun article is just pure speculation of where Sportak thinks Glencross might be a fit.

They were talking about it on the Fan that this has been going on a for a while. All the players understand the situation. Don't think it is much of a distraction at all. Obviously I'd prefer getting a deal done sooner than later but I also prefer getting max value.

Well, if the interest is in the double-digits then its everyone. Everyone is interested.

He's an attacker now? I knew there was always something suspicious about Glencross?

If they trade him to Nashville, he will turn into a Predator instead of an attacker

When Iggy And Bouw were moved (even Regehr), I had that gut feeling that we would get jerked.

For some reason, it's the opposite now. Home run time baby

I think Burke proved last year at the deadline that the Flames will not accept lowball offers. No rush to move Glencross until 1:00 pm on deadline day unless a team comes up with an offer the team can't refuse as I'm sure Treliving will tell teams they have no issues holding onto Glencross so not to bother with crap offers. If he gets moved the return will be fair.

And if you believe the report pertaining to Chicago, it might be best to hold on to the last minute to provide more salary relief. I don't see the rush at all. Injuries happen, but you can't shelve a player based on trade rumours.

Duhatschek on Sportsnet 960 thinks getting a 2nd round pick for Glencross would be a homerun.

I'd be happy with a 2nd. But I think we might get more than that given that half the league is interested, should be able to drive up the price a bit.
