Last time we had a Eastern Road trip was 4 losses in the middle of our 8 game slide. This is a different team than it was then. We should be worried about that trip but don't expect the same dismal results.
I have to agree with MMF, I think Monahan right now is challenging for the best player from his draft class thus far. Mackinnon had a stellar rookie season and finished way ahead of Monahan in the point department, in large part from assists and playing with a stronger offensive group to go along with a great team last year but he has fallen back down to earth where as Monahan has improved on all his numbers while playing much harder minutes and coming up eith stats like 11th most faceoffs taken in the league to-date this year. We have an amazing player in Sean and the fact that we have Bennett coming down the pipe while Backlund continues to mature just gets me sooo excited for our center situation.
Yeah, our future "3rd line C" had like 10 points in his last 10 games (not sure what his points were the past 3).... we're solid at C

Great win tonight, was at the game. Felt awesome to see all those obnoxious Canuck fans go home without a single point. I swear 90% of them were drunk belligerent a-holes, or at least the ones sitting around me were.

9 of 12 Flames forwards between 13:44 and 15:27 of ice time. Only Backlund and Bouma had more, only Colbourne had less.
And that's only because Colborne had a fighting major. I don't have a single complaint about the Flames forwards, or how Hartley deployed them tonight. In fact I hope this is the line up more often than not for the rest of the season. Even if you need someone to drop the gloves, you have Bouma, Glencross, Colborne or Engellend all capable.
I didn't like the first goal on Ramo, but liked his game overall. He did enough to get another start.
I am growing more and more impressed by Diaz's play of late. I would still like to see another #3-4 young big fast defenseman added. I know the price would be high, but that could be the difference between 2nd in the division and missing the playoffs.

I have a huge Lance Boumer after watching that game. How can you not love that guy? Really like that line as well, so effective. Actually liked all the lines tonight. Great game..
