I'm with you, just hope the poor record outside the division doesn't cost the Flames a playoff spot...they will have the change things if they want to make it

The best part is the Canucks best players are old balls...they are on the way down and we are on the way up

After cooling off a bit, I can say that I have no issue with the result. It's the fact that this current Flames team must be the most frustrating team to play against with the amount of shots they block and their seemingly tireless work ethic. Just hair pull inducing!

Just keep winning and it doesn't matter what happens in the OOT.

Big week coming up. The Flames are going into Monday's game with more points than the Bruins. Who ever would have predicted that at the start of the season?

By my calculations, counting even the eight game losing streak, we are now one point ahead of schedule for the "winning four games out of every seven" thing. We are in a very good spot.

When I saw the Glencross hit, I thought for sure Edler got hurt. It was a crushing hit.

I have to agree with MMF, I think Monahan right now is challenging for the best player from his draft class thus far. Mackinnon had a stellar rookie season and finished way ahead of Monahan in the point department, in large part from assists and playing with a stronger offensive group to go along with a great team last year but he has fallen back down to earth where as Monahan has improved on all his numbers while playing much harder minutes and coming up eith stats like 11th most faceoffs taken in the league to-date this year. We have an amazing player in Sean and the fact that we have Bennett coming down the pipe while Backlund continues to mature just gets me sooo excited for our center situation.

I first met Monahan a few years ago as student reporter at the WJC camp here in 2012 (he was one of the last cut from the team). Met him again a few times bartending over the past year or two. He was always polite and humble, but young. And I don't mean that as insult. I'm years older than the damn kid...

But watching that post game... he's no longer a kid. He has a quiet confidence in his ability and I can't wait to watch this SECOND year player become one of the best two way centres in the game.

I missed the entire first period but at least I saw the best part of the game. I thought the Flames the puck battle on every instance. They are all over the Canuck players and they really frustrate them. Karri Ramo was pretty good tonight and it is always nice to have two goalies who can start and put up a good fight. Sean Monahan was flying tonight and could have scored a hat trick at least. The whole line played so much better tonight. Lance Bouma is becoming to be the fan favorite lately with his kamikaze play and with goal scoring. The guy is like an Energizer Bunny who keeps on hitting, skating and blocking. That whole line are match made in heaven. Mark Giordano's instinct every game is to join the rush all the time. No wonder the guy is having some success this season. I think Hartley made a good call in putting Jooris tonight over Bollig. Not saying he could have a make difference last game but tonight I know he was good.

Agree and kudos to Hartley and the coaching staff for how they have handled Monahan - both sheltering and challenging him as appropriate.
