Yes, if they self destruct it should save the Flames the effort of destroying them.

sorry, but leaving your team high and dry like Kane did is unacceptable. There are multiple stories about Kane thinking he's bigger than the club and it's really not surprising that his teammates are pissed.

If anything it shows me that the rest of his teammates are on board as a team and are likely sick of the one guy who isnt helping pull them into the playoffs.

Next season? Back to the same.
He's has his clothes chopped up, thrown in showers, thrown in the garbage but he doesn't care. It's as simple as that. He keeps doing it. Dude is a nutcase.

Screw that.
That is some childish crap if you are throwing teammates clothes in the shower, chopping them up, throwing them in the garbage etc.
It's a professional sports league, if he is being immature it doesn't mean you act even more immature to cancel that out. How the hell is that going to solve the problem?
Terrible leadership in the locker room and from management if this has been going on long term and it's still the case.
Would that behaviour fly at any organization outside of hockey?
If he is breaking team rules then scratch him or suspend him. You don't just let his teammates destroy his clothes and possessions.
IMO there is the potential for some real Miami Dolphins- Ritchie Incognito style stuff here if this is truly ongoing and nothing was done to stop it or rectify it.

If Kane told the team he wasn't going to play, wouldn't that be grounds for suspending him without pay?

yes, but then there would be no chance of keeping it quiet and not affecting trade value.

Shouldn't you be thinking about a way to apologize to your teammates Kane?

Yup...junior hockey...a program that has been known for it's hazing and bullying techniques.
Hockey (really all sports) as a whole has a problem with this type of stuff and if you don't follow suit you are a baby, bad teammate etc.
Just like with the NFL last season this is going to become a much bigger deal, and after that it will raise a ton of anti hazing and anti bullying discussion.

He skipped the game after his teammates already turned on him.

Lol. It's a frickin' track suit that got wet in a shower. The players obviously take their image seriously enough to think this is affront to them , the team and the league and Kane isn't getting it or just doesn't care.
This whole situation is a mess but lets not pretend that Kane is undeserving of his team mates reprisals.

More importantly, does Kane stand around and wait for his track suit to finish in the dryer? Does he leave the arena in all of his hockey gear like a 13-year-old Atom? Does he borrow a set of clothes from a teammate of a similar size? Did he leave the arena naked?
These are the important questions.

As someone who has had multiple encounters with Evander I can tell you that the guy is an absolute piece of ####, period. This doesn't suprise me at all.
