There's a difference between "things aren't going well for them" and "they're enacting policies I don't agree with." If you continue to vote for someone in spite of the latter because of some blind loyalty then, quite frankly, you're an ideologue who shouldn't have any business debating politics.

I mean lots of people do it, but don't want to admit it, but he just comes right out and says it like it's an admirable thing to do, lol.

Lets be fair here. Rerun vs. Resurrection is basically the Sabres vs. the Oilers.

Different columnist at National Post gives a take on Trudeau's unknown economic abyss. As stated a few days ago, the longer the Libs actual brainpower let Trudeau go without handing him some substance to talk about, the more critique he's going to get that he has no clue:
http://news.nationalpost.com/2015/01...eau-who-knows/
some quotes:
We’re now in an election year and nobody has the foggiest idea what the Liberals would do to steady the economy when things get as rocky as they are now
or this tidbit showing Trudeau talking out of both sides of his mouth
Mr. Trudeau has sounded far from convincing in his role as prime minister-in-waiting. He accused Mr. Harper of “putting all his eggs in one basket, counting on the oil price to remain high,” but what does that mean? The Conservatives tried to facilitate resource development (to no great success), so would Mr. Trudeau erect barriers?
His statement suggests diversification of the economy, but in what sectors and how?
Manufacturing? Earlier this week in London, Ont., he talked of “transitioning away from manufacturing-based employment as a driver of the economy.” Yet by the time he got to auto-manufacturing-rich Windsor the following day, he talked about “the need for the federal government to step up on manufacturing.”

I think that says the most about the public perception of Muclair. No one has any strong feelings one way or the other.
Trudeau is perceived as the most fun while Harper seems to be the most competent.

Well that poll was a waste.
If I want someone to govern and make decisions and take a stance that poll says Harper.
If I want someone to braid my daughters hair or go skateboarding with my son I'll get Trudeau.
If I want someone to change my tires I get Mulcair.

Yeah, it is a pretty meaningless poll. People judging people on things personal without really knowing them. It's pretty superficial.
Except the question of whom you would trust to invest your money. Wasn't Harper the one telling people to invest just before everything crashed in 2008/2009? I would take a wild card in Trudeau or Mulcair over that bad advice.

I think it was the opposite. When the market was down Harper said that was a good time to buy, he was criticized for being insensitive.

No, it was after the crash that he said was a great time to invest, and he was 100% correct. I made a lot of money doing that. (ie. Visa was @ $52 vs $260 today)

I know that on this board where the demographic is younger, it might not seem so, but I sat down with people in that exact scenario at that time, and frankly you have to be pretty cold to say "good buying opportunity" to a 70 year old in that situation.

The point of my reply wasn't regarding whether or not it was tactful, the reply was because he said Harper gave bad advice. It wasn't.

Nice deflection. What would you prefer that he said about the stock market at the time?

Is that what you said to the 70 year olds in your office!?
I can't imagine they appreciated it.
