Loved watching the Edmonton reporters having to rewrite their stories after they thought it was in the bag after 2. They got real quiet in the 3rd. Lol.

It was one of those little backhand swipes to the bill of the hat. I understand the whole give me space thing celebrities have. He didn't say a word to me tho.

Edit: the most embarrassing part was having someone 5 years younger at the time do that and not be able to stand up for myself. What can you do but take it in good nature? Im just a Joe blow and he's a rich kid.

Exactly. Punk kid knowing he could get away with it cause of that. At the rate he's going though... He'll be playing in Siberia in a couple years. Hopefully that'll teach him some humility.

So now we are spotting the Oilers a 2 goal lead before we start playing because we feel sorry for them, that's good of us.

2 points, thank you verry much, and move on.

Great. The arguments against +/- usually involve overall team +/-, quality of competition, or being the beneficiary of teammates. None really apply here. Reality is that Brodie brings a ton in terms of smart play, good positioning, exceptional skating, and offensive sensibility.

i remember questions about who could fill Bouw's minutes. Two guys from that roster are among the league leaders on a playoff albeit bubble team.

I bet the Oil coach's 2nd intermission talk was intended to strengthen the troops but broke them. "Listen, fellas, they are the best team in the league in the third but we have not only the lead, but a cushion, we are up by two."

Mentally fragile. Next year for sure.

I just.. I don't get it. Where do these 3rd periods keep coming from, and where are they in the first 40? I mean a team this good in the 3rd would be the #1 cup contender.

But i'll keep taking it thank you very much.

Holy crap, what a comeback! I've got tickets to an event and had an early morning ahead of me so decided to forgo the third period. The first two periods were so frustrating I didn't think they had it in them. Wrong! Should have stayed up, watched the game, and skipped the tournament. Awesome comeback!

There was a busload or two at the Hitmen-Oil Kings game yesterday afternoon, so I'm sure a lot of that cockiness was the result of plenty of afternoon drinking.

Can't imagine why though... Edmonton lost 5-0 in the afternoon, then 4-2 in the evening.

No good.

Mason Raymond's best game this season was against the Edmonton Oilers early this season. Guess what he was good again last night. I think Flames should play more often in the season.

Flames were flat in the first period ending up trying to chase the Oilers around. They were down by two because of the bad mistakes. First goal it was Bouma who got caught mesmerizing and left Eberle open. Oh well Bouma atoned for that mistakes anyways by scoring two goals and 6 hits. Second goal was Wideman's mistake but I was never scared that we are going to lose this game. I thought once the Flames scores the first goal, Oilers will be thinking "oh oh dejavu" and just collapsed. Good on Byron and Raymond on the first goal. I thought it was Raymond who scored but I guess I was wrong. I think Hartley made the good move in putting Colborne on Monahan-Gaudreau line and David Wolf in the 3rd line at times. Wolf got the speed and the shot and he looks good in his first game. I didn't even noticed if he came back after leaving early in the third period.
Another great comeback by the Flames in the 3rd period. I have to say Hiller will probably get the nod again on Monday. Hudler might be coming back so hopefully Hartley rewards Wolf by keeping him in the lineup and sit Bollig. I don't even think Bollig played much in the 3rd period.

Last night I was leaving the RV show at around 10:00, right after the 3rd started. 3 greasy Oilers Jersey clad fans are walking through the BMO Centre parking lot leaving the game early and I hadn't checked on the game yet, and asked one of them the score. "It's carnage, whoooooooooo! Go OIL!" Get in my car and about a minute later they score their first, by the time I get home it's tied. Get inside and put on the rest the third and lol Oilers.

Carnage indeed boys.

They played well in the second also, but they just didn't get the goals. You could see it coming, though.
