Ya I agree, I don't think they have good chemistry at all. So far I like Backs and JG together. Jones has done a good job tonight on that line as well. Hopefully this experiment works.
I can't really figure out who Colby has really good chemistry with? He seems to get moved around a lot.

In slow-mo it looked like Ortio was staging a play on that penalty, real time though, looked legit. Instant replay at it's finest.
That was a fantastic first period for the Flames given the quality of play from last night. I think the McGratton thing and maybe the idea that the focus was Van and looked past FLA was the foundation for that horrid game.

I think mixing styles (passer/shooter, big/small, etc) is not as important as having linemates who think the game the same way. I like Colborne but maybe he just isn't on the same page as Johnny.

Wow, 3-0 for the Jets 6:39 into the first. Kings come back to make it 3-2 after 1.
Just hope they don't go to OT.

I think Dorsetts helmet was getting in his way, hanging awkwardly, so that's why he took it off. That might be ok

Totally agree. I've found that this pairing hasn't been effective since the beginning of the season.
Johnny only exploded when he got together with Hudler and Jooris/Granlund.
Alternatively, Colborne really got kicking when he was lined up with Raymond and whoever else was there.

Ortio was blocking Richardson and backed into him causing the collision. Credit to Ortio for the embelishment to draw the penalty. He knew exactly what he was doing.

That's not how the rule is written tho.
His helmet wasn't really hang awkward tho. It was a little to the side . Its the NHL tho so I don't expect Consistency.

Also incredibly, unbelievably cheap. I hope they throw the book at him. Ban Cooke for life.

Ya wasn't defending him at all, but it was awesome to see a star stick up for himself and show Cooke the difference between tough and dirty.

This:
1. Addy already missing Ortio.
2. Canucks farm team owns our farm team.

Starting to dig Strombo on HNIC now. Especially his comments that Cooke is not a player.

I hate Matt Cooke. Why is that loser in the NHL?

This is the rule I found.
Rule 11, Subsection 4.1: If, during a fight, a Canuck player feels uncomfortable and wants to free up his long curly hair so he can let the cold breeze on the ice blow it to cool his make him look incredible sexy to everyone watching, he will never, ever, be given a penalty for removing his helmet.

Thats what Hemsky used to do to Regehr. Put his stick up in the face to prevent getting killed by Reggie. So many players do that and I think that is one of the cheapest plays in hockey. That and also putting your elbow up to a guys face when that guy is about to hit you.
