Both teams being called would have been fine for the Lions too. They'd get another shot at 3rd and 1.

Totally. And like every else is saying the worst part of the call is waiving it off after it has been announced and declared a penalty. Makes CFL refs look like geniuses

Actually no 3rd and 1, 1st and 10 Detroit because Dez Bryant still commits unsportsmanlike conduct. Missing that is so awful, he went right up to the ref. Even if somehow the ref though he was an actual player on the field and not coming from the bench, he had his helmet off which is also a penalty.

Bad officiating for sure. But Tony Room did play well today.

Ultimately it's better for the rest of the NFL that the Lions' cheapshot artists aren't playing anymore this year.

Cowboys D came up HUGE after giving up a quick 14 spot. So what, 6 points over the last 50 minutes?

Speaking of reversing calls, how about Suh being able to play today?

And that gentlemen is how it's done. Hopefully someone else took this advice and made a few hundred bucks this weekend.

If it wasn't a player named Suh it be a none issue. IMO they jumped the gun calling the suspension.

regarding the PI. I really wish it happened in the 2nd quarter so it wouldn't be a factor. Happening with 8 minutes left in the forth quarter makes it worse.

As a Lions fan I'm not really happy with the call, but nothing you can do about it. The NFL will either come out with with a rule interpretation like the tuck rule to cover their arse or say there was a mistake on the call and nothing will change.

So how much did you make? I'll admit your boasting can irk me, but you do tend to nail all your picks. I'll buy into that any day.

I got three but missed on Cincinnati. They had responded well after losses this year but really I should have known better picking the Bengals in a playoff game. They are like the Calgary Flames of NFL playoffs never getting to the next round when they make the postseason.

Instead here we are, with the NFL offices overjoyed.

Actually:

Morelli pointed out that face guarding, which happens when a defender uses his arms to deliberately obstruct the receiver’s ability to see the ball, isn’t a foul in the NFL.

“It is a penalty in college but not professional football,” Morelli said.

Now personally I think it was PI in the first place and they shouldn't have picked up the flag. But there are missed calls all over the place. Suh got to play; the PI was picked up. It evens out.

Whatever the call, changing it after announcing it is garbage and just wrong. Its like calling a tripping call, having the guy sit in the box, and then pulling him out before the puck drops. And then Dez running out on the field and complaining gets no call either.

The other issue at play here is that NFL stupidly slams together individual refs into a crew for playoffs, after having them in the same crews for the 17 week season.

As was said on the broadcast, it's not even all-stars yet....70 of the 110 refs make it to the post season, the best of the best then get to to the AFC/NFC Championship games and Superbowl.

Had this been a crew that had been together all season, not a bunch of random guys who don't know each other as far as being able to communicate, I can almost guarantee they would've communicated better and either confirmed or pulled the call back before announcing it.
