Its pretty clear Stajan doesn't belong on this team anymore.

Glencross is also having a brutal game.

Yup, it's really tight checking out there. Tough game for skilled players like Gaudreau. On the other side, Tavares hasn't done much either, other than the 5 on 3 goal of course. But that was a gift handed to him on a silver platter by the refs.

Eric Francis thinks that McGrattan could be sent down (after waivers) this weekend to make room for Backlund. Right call, IMO. The enforcer's role is dead in the NHL.

Isles have done a great job of clogging up the neutral zone and slowing the speed of the Flames and their breakout offence.

LOL. Probably been our two best players in this game.

Keep beating that tired old drum though.

It really makes me sad for McGrattan and hockey in general, but it's the right thing to do.

Not Granlund? With Backlund returning I'd rather have Granlund get more minutes in Adirondack.

Perfectly fine with McGrattan in the 14th forward spot doing nothing.

Idea. Replace Francis with Mcgrattan and pay him his full salary.

I really like McGrattan and think he's been a tremendous Flame in the locker room, but personally, I'm so happy the era is all but dead.

19 blocked shots by the Flames so far tonight. That is impressive.

Gio needs to score a goal or something. I need to do some banking at ATB tomorrow and I want to fist pump the Teller and chat about the game.

If we're skating like we can the Flames do a very good job of forechecking the opposition. Not tonight it seems.

Francis said it could be Granlund because he doesn't require waivers, but went on to say that many think it'll be McGrattan.

I don't wanna lose McGrattan. Probably the right call but Big Ern is a class act. Will miss that guy a lot.
