Very even period. Neither team really generated much in terms of scoring chances, and both teams are playing really well defensively. Not much room to do anything out there.

Yes. In an attempt to awesomize my life, I am torn between the John Bonham or Lars Ulrich Special Edition Camry. I hear they have no ABS but instead two brake pedals.... so you can double pedal like a madman in panic situations.

Flames are being out skated and out hustled for pucks. Hopefully they can find their skating legs in the third period,

It was such a pleasure to watch the Juniors on TSN, and then have to turn back to the SN audio for the NHL games. Part of the reason the game seems more boring is the lack of crowd noise and the delay. The only good thing is that the Oilers game seems to be of an even worse quality feed.
The worst 3-0 NFL games can seem exciting because of the presentation.

Not sure what the problem is. I see two very evenly matched teams 5 on 5 (and the stats bear that out). They both had chances and they both played a very strong defensive period. The only difference was a 5 on 3 executed very well. Flames always play a strong 3rd period. Even if we were to lose this 1-0 against a very good team, I'd be ok with that.

Quite a bland game. Watching it at the dome. Other than a couple of gaudreau plays, nothing much to cheer about. Yet.

Disagree. That period was pretty even in terms of momentum and scoring chances. If anything, the Flames were the more physical team in that period. Islanders look like they're just sitting back trying to protect the lead.

I applied, but I failed the fire spitting, and Thai stick fighting requirement. I wasn't BOLD enough.

Gaudreau isn't getting much room to dangle with the puck. Outside of one play in the second period Johnny has been silent this game.

Throwing a few hits is one thing. Losing board battles because you are small, weak and don't have the reach is another. Flames are not getting to those loose pucks and are not getting chances because of that. Hope for a better third.

If that was the case the Flames would be dominating in puck possesion, which they are not. We are having great difficulty with our breakout passes and maintaning posession in the Islanders end.
