Yeah, whoever gets the first rebuke in, such as the beautifully succinct "No" post by HHF, should just get a truckload of thanks and leave it at that.

Blow it up

Haha, tough road stretch, sigh. So glad we had a few epic comeback wins the month before

The Loss sucks but the Flames were not outclassed. They can hang with the big boys in the league. It is frustrating watching them lose four in a row.

One thing that'll come out of this tonight is that another kid will likely be called up. Wotherspoon. Sucks that Smid is down but Wotherspoon should ignite the D corps like Jooris and Granlund did with the forwards.

And Hiller was good tonight. I hope he gets the Chicago start.

Wait, what?
I see it a different way.

4 straight losses where we are taking perimeter shots and not going to the dirty areas.

I can't fault the work ethic, but this team is not going to the dirty areas like they were 6 or so games ago. Shooting percentages were bound to go down, but...

Shore up the defensive mistakes, get the PP going, and the Flames will be fine. The main area of concern for me though is the lack of physicality. It's pretty obvious we still need to get bigger, especially down the middle.

Meh. I'm not that stressed.

The win-loss record is decidedly a secondary consideration this season

It's all about the development, and I'm even happier about the progress made by our top-end prospects than I am about the Flames' record to date.

If you had told me to start the season that Giordano would keep up his Norris-worthy play, Brodie would continue playing like a 1st pairing defender, Monahan would be on a 30-goal pace, Gaudreau would immediately stick as a PPG player, Granlund and Ferland would both show they can play in the NHL, etc, I would even ask how many games the Flames won.

The only game that was even was tonight's. The Flames were better than the opposition for most of the other games.

He’s played so well,” said Flames head coach Bob Hartley. “We were caught in a numbers game, and sometimes it happens in this business.

I’m so proud of this young man — the way that he was playing, the way he was improving.”

Posts like this are the worst. Why do we care about the oilers. They are ####ing irrelevant. It would benefit us if they won

This team has only 4 top 6 forwards and 4 nhl defensemen. Why do you have such lofty expectations?

What's your point? For you, unless someone doesn't post critical thoughts of the team like yours you attack them just as much as the ones who are happy just to enjoy the ride try to attack you. Really is pointless. the people you're trying to argue with couldn't care less about what you think and vice versa. Why start pissing match?

And lately your only rebuttal to them is "Show me stuff". You want them to accept your POV, prove it instead of challenging them to do your work for you.

I just don't understand what cynicism and pessimism contributes.

We have 5 NHL defensemen, but only 2 of them are top 4.
