I wouldn't say bottom feeders, buts pretty obvious they are a huge part of the offence/transition game.

Hiller needs to stop that first shot, other than that the group played them to a draw...

The losing streak was always coming. Here it is.

The simple truth is that we were never going to sustain our third period comeback stats, and the last four games have one thing in common: we have played long stretches of Oilers-esque hockey that have buried us and left us chasing the game for most of each contest.

And as much as the usual suspects are going to piss and moan about their pet favourite veteran forwards to hate, the biggest mistakes came from Giordano and Brodie tonight.

The team will pull out of it, but as always, it is the preventable mistakes that are so frustrating.

Also, I suspect a one-game suspension is coming Despres' way since Smid could not return.

Okay one down, now point out how Russell is overrated and we can have the never ending Post Game Doom Double (pg double d) out of the way.

Hartley told Brodie to play his worst hockey of the year ?

Utter garbage, Hartley's system has been the reason this team is where they are.

Your schtick is grating and unfounded.

Last time Gio and Brodie played bad, we still clawed out a win. This time we didn't.

Big proponent of Gio and Brodie...however as great as they have been, they have been well below average in the last few games and hence a big reason for the bad stretch.
Forget about the low minute guys..the big guys decide outcomes.

The three kids they replaced were basically fourth liners and combined for zero goals. But hey, misplaced aggression helps, right?

Wait, what?
Outplaying only means something when you're also scoring. I think we can say that the flames clearly outplayed their opponent for 5 periods of the last 4 games. In those periods they have 74 shots, averaging about 15 a period, but have only 2 goals.

If you can't score when your outplaying the opponent and give up goals when you're being outplayed its not a good recipe for wins.

What proof, even slight, is there to show Treliving is wary of Hartley, like you suggest.

"This stretch" has seen the Flames match / outplay their opponent in every game. Yes, they've lost, but in watching the games, you can see they could easily be 4-0 or at least 0.500, so I doubt Treliving is looking at this "stretch" and reconsidering whether or not he should move forward with re-signing Hartley.
