Refs making up penalties on New England. At least they reversed the call, but appears they are looking to call things against the Patriots

If Rodgers stays healthy, I don't see anyone stopping Green Bay.

Packers dominating but should be up 21-7 at least. Pats yielding yards but not points.

Never understood rationale for half the distance. Why are defensive penalties worth less in the red zone? Put it on the one.

Rodgers threads the needle and the Packers escape a game they dominated. But their defense is much improved since earlier this year which is the difference.

Pretty pumped for this game. All of a sudden the AFC West looks like a 3 headed monster and a Denver win in KC against a team with an emotional boost would go a long way to convincing me the Broncos are good enough to get back to the Super Bowl. Defense needs to step up tonight. Go Broncos!

in that case (since I'm an offensive-minded person), the team on offense shouldn't have to decline penalties that favour them. For example if the defense jumps offside and they go complete a 20 yard play, they shouldn't have to decline that penalty, the 5 yard offside should be tacked on.
Same for if the defensive team intercepts the ball and the offense was called for holding, they shouldn't have to decline the penalty, add the 10 yard holding onto the end.

I think about 8 teams in the AFC are cheering for Denver tonight so that KC falls back to 7-5.

No doubt. Noticed earlier the AFC only has 4 teams with a losing record. Craziness.

Gotta wonder if the Chiefs season is in the midst of falling apart after losing to the Raiders. Oakland could have easily lost 70-0 or worse yesterday, Kansas City probably cannot believe they lost to such a crappy team. Might be a difficult hurdle to overcome.

I wouldn't be surprised if they end up finishing at 8-8, which would mean finishing out at 1-5. They really shat the bed in last years draft by taking Dee Ford. There was an outstanding crop of receivers, it was clearly their biggest need as a team, and they reach for a pass rusher. Eagle fans did warn us about Andy Reid's drafting though...
The AFC is really muddled now though. Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, KC, Miami, Buffalo, and Houston now all sitting there with 7-5 records one game back of the Chargers. If any of these teams can finish out at 3-1 you have to like their chances of getting to the playoffs. Looking ahead to next weeks schedule it's looking like Houston, Miami, San Diego will be sitting at 8-5 and those others at 7-6.

That loss to the Chargers really hurt the Ravens. Good that the Steelers and Browns lost yesterday too, but they need to run the table most likely to get in the playoffs. They do have a favorable schedule to do that though.
How useless are the Bucs. They were driving late in the 4th down by a field goal. On 4th down McCown throws short of the marker, player gets tackled in bounds, game over. Just terrible play calling.

Browns were in good shape at half-time with the lead, and the other NFC North teams losing or in trouble. Still too inconsistent to be a playoff team. Manziel will likely get more playing time to see what he can do.
Likely neither Hoyer or Manziel are the long-term solution. How about Bo Levi?
