Just put up the Flames forwards points per game chart on another thread about who to keep when everyone gets back from injury. Just noticed Hall would be 3rd on the Flames forward group in points per game this year at .800. He would be behind Granlund .818 and Hudler .810. Just for comparison here ya go:
1. Granlund .818 9 Pts 11 GP +4
2. Hudler .810 17 Pts 21 GP +4
Hall .800
3. Colborne .727 8 Pts 11 GP +3
4. Gaudreau .714 15 Pts 21 GP +8
5. Raymond .700 7 Pts 10 GP +2
Eberle .700
RNH .684
6. Jooris .600 9 Pts 15 GP +0
7. Monahan .591 13 Pts 22 GP +3
8. Glencross .591 13 Pts 22 GP +3
9. Jones .500 5 Pts 10 GP +3
10. Byron .455 10 Pts 22 GP +3
11.Bouma .429 9 Pts 21 GP +3
12. Backlund .364 4 Pts 11 GP +0
13. Ferland .333 1 Pts 3 GP +0
14. Baertschi .333 3 Pts 9 GP -4
Yakapov .333
15. Stajan .182 2 Pts 11 GP +2
16. Bollig .100 2 Pts 20 GP -3
17. Knight .000 0 Pts 1 GP +0
18.Reinhart .000 0 Pts 4 GP -3
19.McGrattan .000 0 Pts 7 GP -1
20. Setoguchi .000 0 Pts 12 GP -7
Really getting tired of the unwarranted hype of Oilers forwards because of draft status. They don't play a full 200 ft game and are still behind a lot of our players offensively this year. Sure that may change but ask yourself do you see Hall putting up .800 playing a 200 ft game. I don't want any of the Oilers entitled forwards and culture to infect the Flames dressing room.

Hall's really the only good piece there. Nuge has some potential. Eberle is terrible and Yak looks limp.

Hall and Nurse for sure. From those who are available, I'd take a flyer on Yakupov ... he actually tries to play defense and he has a great shot. With him, you might have to start from scratch again, but with a good coach he'd turn into a player for sure. Perron if he can be had for cheap. Just have to convince them that Matt Deblouw is the top line center they're looking for!

Give me a break you guys. There isn't a GM in the league that wouldnt trade his roster for the Oilers roster. I know a thing or two about hockey management.

Actually, the only ones to show any common sense that have anything to do with the oilers are the ones who threw their jersey on the ice and gave up on them.

The funny thing about everyone wanting Eberle is that I think a lot of that is still hype and a carryover from his world junior play. A lot of Oilers fans have been trashing him for lacking heart and desire.

Eberle is too small for a team that is wanting to get bigger, in fact I too do not want any of their poor play and entitlement to come anywhere near our room. We dodged a bullet with Smid and that he didn't have any of that entitlement nature in him!

I was originally on the hype train as he looked awful good in his first couple of seasons but now in his 5th season he's become pretty soft, doesn't back check hard, and seems to have checked out on that team. I don't think he's a good fit for the Western Conference as he looks like one of those guys that just wants to freelance and get points which is more akin to Eastern Conference play. I think he would be okay for the Flames but now that he's been in the league a while he's starting to look more like a complimentary winger than franchise 1st ling winger and I don't know how much better he would make the Flames. He wouldn't be as good as Hudler therefor how much would you want to give up for him?

Not that I think the Flames should do it, but I have a feeling someone might try giving Yakupov an offer sheet with a poison pill similar to the ROR offer sheet. As bad as the Oilers are they are almost a cap team and strategic offer sheets may be able to work. There may just be enough bad blood between the Oilers and Yakupov that I could see a playoff team taking a shot at a first overall talent albeit tainted.

Has anyone said Connor McDavid yet? Connor McDavid.
The Oilers are desperate. Smid for their 2015 1st Overall draft pick should do the trick.

These stats show who has had a better start to the season and that is all. Your sample size is so small it really tells nothing. If you used every players career points per game it might say a bit more. Granlund or Hudler for Hall is a trade you make 10/10 times and Colborne and Raymond for Eberle and RNH as well.

Not so much for our team as we don't need a C but Boyd Gordon is someone I could see being a nice 4th line C on any Cup contending team.

Based on his NHL play to date I have a hard time believing any team would offer this guy what the Flames offered ROR. He looks like the worst first overall pick in some time in what was one of the worst draft classes in some time.

Perron would be the player that has the least amount of oiler stink I'd want on the flames. He's the player they need more of so he's probably most likely to be traded.
