I'm not familiar with US military uniforms, is this a colour scheme for one of their branches?

I believe it is supposed to be snow camouflage (spoiler for size)

Sadly, they are auctioning those off at the game only. No way to buy them unless you are at the game.
Believe me, I tried to convince them otherwise but no go.

I know, I know, it's a super small sample size but it still makes me feel good that Poirier is scoring 1.125PPG and Shinkaruk is scoring 0.47PPG.

Poirier is sitting 20th in Rookie Scoring with HALF the number of games of the people ahead of him.
Also, the Flames have 5 players in the Top 40 of rookie scoring.
Oh and Shinkaruk? The Flames have 4 players either tied or having more points with him. Poirier and Arnold have more, Culkin (Defenceman) and Agostino are tied.

What's the word on Culkin? He hasn't played in the last 4 games.
He has 7 points in his last 5 games, so I can't imagine they're keeping him out unless he's hurt, but I don't recall hearing any confirmation of an injury.

He isn't injured according to anything I've read and even during his interview he said he wasn't injured. I don't think he's being punished at all either.
The Flames beat writer was suggesting that both Culkin and Ramage's scratches are nothing more then Huska not wanting to tinker with a winning lineup. However it was speculation and no one seems to have asked that question directly (this is where I miss PMM. He'd ask that and get the answer flat out)
We do have more D then spots for them so it's a plausible answer. Perhaps with the back to back games Friday and Saturday, we might see Yonkman sat and Culkin put in.

One of Poirier's most intriguing stats is 0 PIM in his AHL career. His junior PIM's were very high, high enough to suggest chronic discipline issues.
Can anyone who's been watching him comment on how disciplined his play has been in the AHL? How much of his PIM drop may be attributed to the differences in refereeing between th QMJHL and the AHL?

Poirier hasn't been overly physically involved yet, relying on his skill moreso than being a feisty pain out there. He might not be wanting to push it too hard with his shoulder yet.

Adirondack Flames top week 6 power rankings
http://chirpsfromcenterice.com/2014/11/17/ahlpwwk6/
Quote:
For the Week 6 Chirps from Center Ice Power Rankings, it’s all about the bottom.
That’s where this weeks number one team, the Adirondack Flames, started back on Week 1. The bottom. The Flames had just botched a mascot reveal badly and employed Trevor Gillies who was suspended 12 games for smashing an opponents head in the ice on the opening weekend.
But the Flames have risen to the top of this weeks rankings thanks to a five game road winning streak.

Our home PP is pretty deadly.

@Chris_Treft: Here is my @AHLFlames #FunFact, ADK has scored a PPG in every home game since Oct, 16 & only failed to score a PPG 1 time at home this year!

My God I feel good about the health of the organization overall. The big club loses 4 regulars from the lineup, we plug in 4 kids from the AHL and we really don't miss a beat. Upon borrowing the top 4 kids from the farm team, that team rattles off 8 wins in a row. Times are good as a Flames fan.

Diana C. Nearhos @dianacnearhos
After sitting out almost a month with an ankle injury, Sena Acolatse is practicing in no-contact yellow today.
Diana C. Nearhos @dianacnearhos
Bryce Van Brabant is also in no-contact yellow today.

Both Mathieu Tousignant and Patrick Sieloff, neither of whom practiced or played Saturday, are on the ice today.

No surprise about Tousignant. He left the team on Saturday to attend to a family emergency as his grandmother passed away.

Time to trade an AHL d-man to make more room like they did with Cundari last season?

Cundari wasn't traded/loaned to make room. He was loaned to get a veteran top 6 forward that Abbotsford need badly.

True, but with 9 defenseman on the roster (+ Kulak in the ECHL) they should be moving someone out to make more room for the prospects. I'm not a fan of these multi-game healthly scratches that's been happening to Culkin, Seiloff and Ramage.

I think the idea was to create internal pressure and carry forward with the "Always earned, never given" mantra of the organization. They are rookies(ish) that we can afford to shelter while they find their legs. If they are being sat it's just where they are at in their development. It's just going to take a single injury up top or here in the AHL to create plenty of space and learning opportunities for our younger guys. Truth be told I'm not sure any of those guys you mentioned are ready for a much bigger role on the team.
