Just awful, hang your heads in shame, Flames fans. You don't put in a quarter of the effort your team does.

Seems contradictory.
As to leaving early I would surmise that a lot of people had parties to get to.

However, I think that perhaps maybe Flameswin is being a little too rough. My perspective is that the fans, in general, have been very excited and supportive this season. Again, only a little rough (not Jian rough).

Everyday my friends, family, work colleagues, etc are always talking about the great effort, Johnny, Money-hands, etc. In fact, we were cheering so loud tonight we woke my son up. It's OK...we let him watch the last of the game with us since we woke him up.

Anyway, great game by the Flames. Love the effort. I thought the atmosphere was great. But, that's my view.

Hate those 3rd jerseys.
Oh, so maybe it was a sportsnet audio issue then? On TV you could hear a pin drop the whole night. That's good to hear that it was better in person.

Seemed fine, except maybe a 1/2 delay.

Well, I was referring more to the emptiness all game, plus the thousands that left the already empty arena with the Flames up by one and 5 minutes left.

I thought the crowd had a fair bit of energy.

Not like a Habs or Nucks game, but pretty energetic for a Preds game I thought.

People have been doing this for years, now matter the score. We could be up by 20, and people would still leave. I freakin' hate it.

I think it's the whole "need to beat the crowd" mentality. The Saddledome sucks to get out of after any event. Hopefully that's taken into consideration with the new building.

Thousands left with five minutes to go? In an arena that was already empty? I think that's a tad much.

Wow I am shocked the attendance was 18,000. I realize it's Halloween but this is Calgary.

Flameswin, you're way off base. The atmosphere was great at the dome tonight. Check out that video above, Hrudey complements the crowd for still cheering Johnny long after the play ended. And it was like that all night. Maybe it was quiet on TV, but it was good in person.

And it was Halloween, of course people left early. And people leave early at every other sporting event in every other city as well.

And why weren't you at the game? If it's such a big deal to you, you better be in a seat every game leading the charge.

What a downer of a post game thread after a simply amazing game by Johnny and the Flames.

I feel like Sportsnet has been better this year, but you can still tell they damper crowd noise to an extent.

A perfect example would be Johnny's goal from tonight. Listen to the crowd noise when he scores.... it almost sounded 2004 loud, but only for about 1/2 a second, until a sharp drop/correction in the audio right around when the goal horn goes off.

Anyone have the game recorded? Or an uploaded clip from Sportsnet?

Those figures are from before tonight's game. They're now 1.82 and .941, respectively.
