5+ games for Volchenkov sounds about right. Maybe round it up to 10 for the obvious intent.

Made up with that. Thought the Preds shaded it in terms of scoring chances and puck possession, but our burst in the 3rd period was superb. We deserved that win, the Preds threw it away. Really pleased with our points scorers tonight. Mony with 2 points, Johnny with 2 points, another goal for Brodie, another assist for Gio, goal for Hudler. I felt that even Seto and Jones had decent shifts at times. We are in a good position at the moment, lets just hope Ferland is ok and that the dirty hit by Volchenkov receives the same punishment as the Burrows suspension. Nasty piece of work, probably still dizzy from Gaudreau tying him up in knots.

Speaking of Johnny, he is now starting to knit together consistent top level games. He is easily our most dangerous player and looks a threat every time he steps onto the ice. I would agree though(and it was mentioned earlier in the week by a poster on CP) about needing to maybe get McGrattan or Bollig to take a shift with Johnny if the opposition start taking cheap shots like what happened once or twice tonight. He is too talented a prospect for not just us, but for hockey in general to see him lost to a head injury or cheap shot into the boards. I'm sure Hartley has noticed the attention Johnny is getting, lets hope we have a response next time someone else tries something funny.

Gaudreau is a bit special isn't he. The kind of player that if he played on another team you'd wonder off in to cloud ####oo land wondering how you wished he'd played for us.

Solid game by Granlund. Nice to see Monahan continue momentum. Johnny impressive. Brodie a beast.

Awesome!

Just awful, hang your heads in shame, Flames fans. You don't put in a quarter of the effort your team does.
Very well said, I couldn't agree more!

Like I said in the GDT, how do you not get up and have fun at a Friday night Halloween game? It should just be automatic great atmosphere, but instead it sounded like a Wednesday night game against the Coyotes in there.

Johnny Hockey gets 2 points, so does Mony, the injury-riddled Flames beat one of the best teams in the league currently... yup, eat #### Oilers!

so getting waaaaay ahead of ourselves.

A) Could Gaudreau win the Calder? (currently 5th in rookie points)
B) Could Gaudreau be in the all-star game?

Hat tip to Hartley for shifting the lines in the 3rd and putting that Hudler/Gaudreau/Granlund line together. They completely turned the game around, two goals and drew the penalty that led to another goal.

Byron seems to slip under the radar when it comes to his play. Filled in well for our injuried centers and came close to scoring tonight.

If Ferland can bring that kind of game consistently (aside from his first 2 shifts), he should be here to stay. Good size, aggressive, and has some filthy mitts on him. Very unique player... sure hope his leaving is nothing too serious.

Yes & Yes

I am getting concerned though, with all the Flames getting injured.
The NHL is a rough game. Glad Johnny has avoided the big hits thus far.
Hope he continue to stay healthy. He really is good at protecting himself and playing with his head up.
