I get what your saying about two tier citizenship, but your acceptance and granting of citizenship is under conditions that you have to live up to and these are conditions that are slightly different then citizens that were born here.
Don't know if I'm explaining my position well here.

What society do citizens not agree to abiding by the laws of the land though? I thought it was a given that whether you were born in Canada or are a naturalized citizen, you have to obey Canadian laws. Isn't that what the legal system is for?

I like the idea of an island prison. Just make it near Australia so it will be full of spiders

Yes but naturalized citizens take a direct oath vs an assumed oath for citizens born within a country.
It's the only difference. Shouldn't matter in a discussion regarding stripping citizenship IMHO.

I guess, the main difference is that someone that is born here and raised here is automatically a citizen, someone that immigrates here has to take an oath and has to accept and abide by conditions to be given or granted citizen ship, its to an extent citizenship granted conditionally.

Secluded Island paradise off the coast of Australia? What are we doing? Trying to encourage crime?
Why don't we just build a wall around Edmonton and throw all the world's terrorists there. It would be hell on earth for them.

They are not Parliamentary Security.
The reason they have Guards posted at the Memorial is to stop vandalism.
The guards were placed at this location after 3 drunken teenagers posted pictures of themselves pissing on the Memorial.

Tons of new info from the press conference, which will obviously come out shortly.
The last question asked the RCMP about PM Harper being unprotected at the time of the shooting. RCMP Commissioner didn't know the exact status of the PM at exact time of the shooting, but what he did state is that the PM now has/and will continue to have 24/7 protection detail.
I guess I was naive and would have thought he would have had at least one piece of protection with him at all time, but that clearly wasn't the case.

45,500 Canadian soldiers died to defend our freedoms in 39' to 45', I seriously doubt Cpl Cirillo would want his death to result in the loss of our freedoms his own brothers in arms died for.
One moron with a gun or 90 morons with guns is not worth changing Canada for, more people die each year in snowmobile accidents than these twats could ever manage.

That image of his dogs is heartbreaking. I hope they get a good home. And then there's his poor son. God dammit.

Partly it's that, but also it's the reality that as tragic as this and 9/11 and London and madrids bombings were/are life goes on, none of this, even 9/11 actually threatens our countries, these are pinpricks in reality, it is not a war here, it's a crime wave at best
