Brodie lead the Flames with 27+ mins of ice time... set up the winning goal in OT.

Draisaitl and Yak both played over 14 minutes yesterday! Hartley should call up Baertschi and let him, Monahan and Gaudreau just focus on offense.

Yes, lets be just like the Oilers. That is a great idea that will lead to many wins and multiple Cups.

It's just basic math.

Somehow dug this out of my archive from the 2009 playoff series PS thread. I swear it feels like it's been 5 years since we've beaten Chicago.

Who knows how this season turns out, but in seasons gone by we would have lost that with the same shot totals for both teams.

Brilliant effort.

Very dubious amount of penalties for the Hawks.

Disagree. In almost every sport where the aim of the game is to score goals, the only thing that matters is how many times you put the puck in the net. Tonight proves it. The being outplayed thing is irrelevant because of the quality gulf between the teams, can't say every win we get is undeserved just because the other team has more talent. We scored twice, they scored once. I'd also say its deserved because our shot conversion rate tonight was miles better than theirs. Therefore, we deserve it. The only way it would be undeserved if is the refs robbed them with a shocking call or we had to cheat to win.

2-0 since the extinguishing of Scorch.

Clearly we are harnessing his spirit of awesomeness.

He's in for a huge pay raise. Not bad for an undrafted player

I would say attack zone is actually the most important stat for determining the dominant team. Dozens of crap quality shots isn't a good indicator.

That said... I really don't want to see attack zone stats for this game. . 14 minutes short handed certainly didn't gelp things.

Flames were a man down for half the game. Instead of criticizing Hartely for low minutes on Gaudreau, let's give him props for taking his time with Byron and reaping the rewards now.
