After one game each, I'm waaay more confident in Ramo then I am with Hiller. Ramo just looks cool as a cucumber in net. If our offense could play every game like it was against the oilers we'd be in the playoff hunt for sure.

Didn't stay up to watch it live this time, watched it during work and it was hard not to cheer loudly when we scored, damn this was a feel good win.

I find it interesting their fans still just don't get it. Over and over they talked about how the Flames are a bad team despite the fact the Flames are a team that finished 10 points ahead of the Oilers last year and just beat them 5-2. When will they realize that maybe, just maybe the Oilers are the bad team?

Ramo held the Flames in until the third. That was honestly the worst two periods of Flames hockey that I can remember. Without a strong performance from Ramo, the Flames are down and out after 2 periods. Have to bring a better effort going into St. Louis or we'll get crushed.

Someone in the PGT over at HFBoards called Ramo "the worst goalie in the league." I'm not kidding.

You need to read the TV guide a little better, dude. The game was always going to be JIP on Sportsnet 360, but was available from the start on Sportsnet 1.

Burke was been in charge during the off season when we re-signed Lord Byron.
I'd guess he's ok with it.

You think there's only one bad team when these two play? These are pillow fights between two of the absolute bottom feeders of the league. Winning these games is like being valedictorian in summer school. Hardly something to gloat about regardless who wins.

Couldn't agree more. This is what's going to distinguish our rebuild from the Oilers 8 year tire fire, and why you still need vets on the team and not just flashy young guys. Not just Backlund but Stajan if necessary as well.

Can we say it just might be possible Colborne can play centre a bit, or will that be super offensive to the Joe haters around here?

This is badly overplayed. Yes, Burke is the president of hockey operations and has developed the blue print for this team, but ultimately, Treliving is the one who is working most closely with the scouts, and he is the one who is making decisions about who is on the roster. He is, after all the Flames' general manager.

4 points and +4 in two games, both team (and league ) leading stats.
Extremely small sample of course, but yeah, he can play center a bit.
Also, I don't think there's much Joe haters. If anything I think he's been flying mostly under the radar.
