While this star conversation was going on in the twilight thread Mazrim did make a point to step in to say that anyone that previously posted with Quicktopic would have a star and don't overthink it.

I doubt Mazrim is openly protecting one side over another.

I became a member of the guardians (got the msg right before lynch but didn't have a chance to post) in exchange for a tracker power. I set my tracker power to puxlut. My investigation returned that ECF visited two people myself and one other person. I assume he poisoned me and protected the other person.

I will let ECF confirm that he poisoned me though.

This doesn't make any sense - how does you tracking Puxlut give you all this info?

Unkillable or full of something.

I am still not comfortable with the potential of wasting a lynch on him.

Are we assuming ECF is the doctor? There is still the possibility he is bluffing. No offense ECF, but your 'poison' didn't work and you didn't get night killed. Maybe I am overthinking it but it seems a little off to me.

I've really been mulling over the star thing in the chat. I know that Mazrim came in and said not to over think it, but then why step in at all. If the stars were truely not a sign of mafia, I don't see why Mazrim would say anything. The intervention, to me, makes it more likely that the theory is true (mafia had a star on their name as they were previously logged in from the mafia chat).

Let me preface this by saying I think Mazrim's got a great game going for us so far (Thanks Mazrim!), but the frantic feelings of the twilight chats can make someone say something on a whim, even our CP gamemater. I don't think Mazrim was trying to protect one side or the other intentionally, but may have done so accidently.

If the stars mean nothing, then Mazrim's comment would help the town out (by not misleading us). If the stars are indicitive of mafia, then Mazrim's comment would help out the mafia. Either way, one side was benefited by the comment. Again, I am not saying Mazrim did it intentionally to help one side or the other.

I'm going to run back and read over Timbo and Starseed’s game sometime today (from the beginning) and see how mafia-slanted their actions are. I realize the stars may be a red herring, but I feel like I have nothing else to go on at this point.

That's if we believe he is lynchproof. And even if he is, how do we get rid of him now?

GGG obviously was able to track ECF. He claims it's from Guardians, is it a possibility that's his real power though? Claims he is poisoned, says we can't lynch him. Then tomorrow he shows up alive and we all blame ECF for GGG not dying or something?

Even then, can we? What if his real gift from the Guardians was being lynch proof like GP_Matt received (thought he received?). Unless a lynch reveals his alignment regardless, I don't know if we can take GGG's word for anything regardless of what happens now.

It doesn't take long to log in initially (if this is your first time seeing Quicktopic), and you don't have to log in to post either, so there's no guarantee that a Star equates to guilt. I don't normally step in to say stuff like this, but it's outside the game and another layer of meta gaming that isn't supposed to be part of this game. So again...don't overthink it, and I'd rather we focus on the game itself than something like this.

You know what - I hadn't really thought of it this way until now. This is sort of using 3rd party information for guilt / innocence, which is against the rules.

I will back off on this and focus back on the thread here at CP only. Thanks for the guidance Mazrim, and sorry for breaking / bending some of the rules a few times already in this game (first time, please don't hate me!)

The game incorporates roles that are inconvenient to play with, such as Voteless or Suicidal.
