Rathji is 4th from the bottom, Puxlut is 5th, GirlySports is 6th. If you are going to analyze data, you can't just take out your scum buddies. Not when everyone can actually see what the bottom three are by your own data. Puxlut and GirlySports each casted 6 votes/unvotes, Rathji and hmmhmmcamo 4.

We are becoming predictable. I figured you would respond noting that my post eliminates me from suspicion. I fully acknowledge it does and that was not the point of it.
I think you are missing what I am trying to say though. I wasn't looking for the bottom 3 posters or voters. I was looking for posting habits vs voting habits. To me it makes sense that an active poster is an active voter and vice versa. So who is an active poster and an inactive voter? I looked at the delta between post position and vote position.
Of the three you listed 1 was already in my list and the others have a delta of 1 so weren't included.
Rathji is 16 in votes and 17th so delta is one
Hmm is 17 in votes 16 in posts so delta is one
HG was on my original vote list.
The number in the first column is your list of votes including unvotes put into order (thanks for digging this out). The number in second column is the post order. I was looking at who had a high delta in number of posts and identified them.

What's the vote count at?

I might not agree entirely with their logic, but I at least understand it, and I can tell you exactly why GGG and Starseed have voted for everyone they have without even having to look back. There's others that I would have to check back to understand why they voted the way they did though.
And holy crap, I just realized that Wood didn't just vote for GP_Matt.

In my eyes, content of posts is more important than post count. I'm sure if you searched for my posts, you'll see that the majority of them are somewhat longer, and generally have at least a paragraph or two of discussion, if not more.
Again, not saying the list provides go info, but I think we always need to take it in context.
As for Matt, I think the ECF poision idea is the best. All we know is Rathji's night ability was re-directed. There are several posibilities for this.
1)One person's night ability is re-directed at night at random - somewhat unlikely but a possibility
2)Townperson re-directed his night ability as they were suspicious of Rathji on day one - this seems fairly likely as there was a ton of speculation on the first day and it would be hard for a townie to decide who to use the re-direct on
3)Mafia re-directed his night ability - also likely, but less so than option 2 in my opinion. Why pick Rathji specificly? I don't really have the answer to that and can't see anything in Rathji's day one posts to support it
4)Rathji is lying about the re-direct - another possibility, but I do think Rathji is telling the truth
With all this uncertianty, trying to plan around assumptions we've made on this re-direct (where the general talk is saying mafia have this power) is sort of moot in my opinion as we really don't know. I think Matt is telling the truth about being unlynchable, so if we still want to get him, the ECF poision is the best option, in my opinion.
|
yeah I think 1 and 4 are very unlikely. Which brings us to 2 and 3. On Night 1 the re-direct is really just to get information.
2. A townie who has this power will just re-direct randomly I think. I totally agree with you that it would be difficult to determine who to use the re-direct. If it's really lucky it can re-direct a bullet onto scum. It's really for information. If GP_Matt had died last night, the redirector would be suspicious that Rathji can kill.
3. The mafia wants to find out who has powers. So they choose Rathji as an educated guess and redirect him to GP_Matt. Why GP_Matt?
a) Matt is scum and if they're lucky a protection will land on Matt and Rathji will broadcast it
b) Matt is town and if they're lucky a bullet will hit him or Rathji will broadcast something useful.
Rathji gave a good answer that he didn't use his power on Night 1, which keeps the mafia guessing.. what power does he really have and when will he use it? Would they continue re-directing him? It's cat and mouse.
Should we follow Rathji's example? Report if we got re-directed but not say if we did anything? We can then study the pattern?

Peach had decided she'd had enough of Lucina's arguments, and that things weren't going anywhere. It was time to take matters into her own hands and silence this mysterious person who had somehow traveled through time.
From under her dress, Peach pulled out her Frying Pan. A deadly weapon she had used in the past with great power, Peach had no problem smashing Lucina in the face. Nothing could stop that frying pan.

Just to note, I only said anything about the redirection because I thought it helped us identify 2 likely townies, given the talk the previous day.
Not saying a pattern wouldn't help us, but before we go spilling everything into the thread, the person who has the info needs to evaluate it and see if it helps specifically.

on GP_Matt, not surprised that he turned up town, just given how things played out with the RD thing. I thought his explanation was reasonably believable.
I agree with Wood though, he had to go, the completely vague statements that seemed like he was trying to avoid actually lying and the chaos everything surrounding him was throwing the town into, was taking too much attention.

I think the trump card was the power he started with, while the unlynchable was the power gained from the Eternals. As for what a trump card is or does, that I don't know (and can't find doing a quick google search).

Unfortunate but I believe ultimately in the best interest of everyone to end that situation. No mention at all about the eternals, I'm going to accept them at face value for now.

Well I think Matt made some huge mistakes playing his role as a townie, it still sucks we lost another town member there. I was so sure he was scum...ughhh.
So now what? I am more than happy to go along with the majority here as I am kind of doubting my scum tracking skills at the moment. Are we piling on hmmhmmcam?
