Nope. He'd be in pieces by February. The preseason and camp basically answered the question of whether or not bennet was ready. The simple answer is no. Monahan was older and bigger and more equipped to hold up. Bennet should have a great OHL season and hopefully a successful world juniors

Sucks that Baertschi and Byron sit while Setoguchi gets another game.

I also don't understand these lines. The only line that makes sense is the fourth line. And that is an archaic bruiser line.

Bennett has definitely shown that he possesses enough skill to play on the Flames now, but it's hard to argue that he is physically ready with his buzz saw style. He'll be scary good after another season in junior.

I look at like this... the Flames already know what Baertschi and Byron can do for them on the ice... Its Setoguchi they're not sure about and still not sure if he is good enough to make the team... thus they want to see him play one more time before making the decision to cut him or not.

That means he's definitely not a lock to make the team, in managements eyes, which is a good thing for more deserving non-vet players..... I hope.

So TSN3..Is it going to broadcasted for Manitoba only or what?
Saskatchewan is also in the Jets region, so Manitoba and Sask.

It honestly looks like Baertschi may be sitting out because the Flames are trying to trade him for Leddy.

Wouldn't be happy.

I doubt it. Hartley said if you're in the last game, you have a chance to make the team. I think baertschi is out and they already know what they have in Byron.

Baertschi is gonzo. Too bad they didn't give him another look.

Talk about a leap ...

Shouldn't the word maybe have appeared in there somewhere? Or "imagine if", "wouldn't it be something"

Ohh.. Now that's a thought. You wouldn't think so, but really he should be playing tonight. That he isn't says to me something is up. Could be.

Gio and Glennie are also not playing. Should we read something into this as well? LOL everyone needs to relax, regardless of what Hartley said yesterday.

I agree with you. I was actually thinking more of Jooris, than Byron and Sven, when I made that statement. Jooris is playing. Seto is playing. I think whoever plays best will make the team. The other gets sent down to the AHL.

I would be ok with that. Honestly even if just JG makes the team in a prominent role, that is enough to keep me excited through 82 games this year.

For Telus Optik TV, the Centre Ice channels are bewteen 1100-1114 for the Calgary area. If you live in a different city or province, try Telus' channel guide to find them.

Change your region at the top if you don't live in AB, then change your city. The download the Channel Listings guide shown on the page.

I have no idea if Telus is offering a free preview for Centre Ice. Contact Telus and ask them if you can't find the Centre Ice channels in your area.
I live in BC just called Telus and Optik TV is offering a free preview for center ice until October 14, my buddy has Shaw and he said Shaw is doing the same.

So there you go. Today's game will be on Centre Ice as a free preview for Flames fans on Shaw and Telus, outside SK and MB. Inside SK and MB, the game is on TSN3.
