Injured #Flames skating before today's practice: Backlund, Jones, Raymond, Potter, Klimchuk.
Lets hope Jones is healthy soon..so we can waive his useless butt.

You've grasped on to this idea that Jones should and will be waived, but I reallllyyy don't think that's going to happen. He has to be bad AND lazy to get O'Brien treatment.

JG/M/H should be fun but I thought JG was developing some nice chemistry with Colborne last game.

Thought so too.

He's probably going to have good chemistry with everyone he's on the ice with -
Johnny's gonna be one those players that make everyone around him better.

Fun to watch

So Jooris is Raymond's placeholder and Bennett is Backlunds? Still a whole bunch of questions at forward. Looks like the D is set for the start of the season. If Witherspoon is healthy to start do they send him to the baby flames and sign Diaz? Or do they keep Witherspoon up and let Diaz go. That's about it for questions on D. At least for me.

Two very nice PP units. Replace seto with Raymond when healthy.

You don't think he should be waived? Then I think you stand alone on that one. And he is bad and lazy, not sure what you have seen out there.

I think after being injured for so long, Wotherspoon will need some conditioning in the AHL.

I doubt Diaz' spot on the team is in jeopardy for the short/medium term this season.

Would think the only way Diaz is not a lock for the 7th dman is if the Flames are not able to sign the player to a contract.

If I'm not mistaken this is the first game where both Gaudreau and Bennett have been in the lineup.

Holy crap I'm excited to see those two.

Yeah and with injuries I'm sure a healthy Wotherspoon will be the #1 call up going forward (that's if he still looks good in Adirondack). I'm almost 100% sure we'll see both Wotherspoon and Diaz on the main roster at some point this season.

Interesting to see the Baertschi/Gaudreau switch on Monahan's line ... as that line didn't get a lot going on Tuesday night.

I would assume chemistry with the number one unit they are trying to build is paramount to making the club. Baertschi didn't get it going, but if Gaudreau does I think we know where he's playing on Wednesday.

Ditto. I was hoping to see them on the same line.

I know I shouldn't be excited about another team's prospect, but I really like the looks of this Ehlers kid. Should be a good game.

Glad to see Johnny with Monahan. I think they had some chemistry during summer camp a year ago.

Both Jets games are listed on my Bell Centre Ice package and there doesn't appear to be any blackout in AB. I'm safe in BC though, so should be enjoying it in HD. Speaking of the broadcast, the Jets seem to have a better contract with TSN than we do with Rogers, where we seem to be an afterthought.
