It had nothing to do with MS.
He got in a argument, kicked a wall, broke his foot. Because he had MS he shouldn't get in trouble for throwing a hissy fit and hurting the team?

Many 'Hawk fans are irate at the presence of that slug, Cam Barker, at our training camp...and even worse, he laid a hit on TT, causing an "upper body injury", listed as "day to day"...all accounts have it as a clean check, but, since Barker is nearly universally despised by 'Hawk fans, it is not much of an excuse...
At $2.2million over the cap, speculation is rampant on who is going to be moved...most think Oduya with a $2.8million contract would be a. marketable and b. logical to be the one...Fellow Swede, Klas Dahlbeck , seems the most likely replacement for JO if this is the move made.

Out of Leddy, Oduya, and Roszival I'd be looking to move Roszival. He isn't signed past this year and has a cap hit of 2.2M.

Komskies...Rozival, however, isn't as attractive a player as Oduya...better skater, Puck moving D-Man, who is more durable, at this point in his career...Yeah, it would be better to move Rozi, but, there would be, IMO, more of a market for JO.

If the Hawks made Leddy available then I think they'd get a better return and more teams would be interested. I could also seeing a team like the Flames taking on Roszival if we were compensated a pick or prospect.

I think they'd rather keep Oduya and will risk moving Leddy...

Leddy is 23 and has looked better each year. I don't think he's a top 2 guy but I think he's a pretty good 3-4 guy. I would rather the Flames go after him than Boychuck.

There is still an upside to Leddy's development...and as he will only be an RFA after this season, he might be a chip better held to, at least, the trade deadline...or even be cashed for picks if any offers are not matched.

It's not quite that simple.
Quote:
Difficulties with the self-regulation of behavior can create problems in many different ways. Some people with MS may be unable to plan and organize purposeful activity. Sometimes the problem is in the area of initiating action. Difficulties with "getting started" may appear to others as depression or lack of motivation. Other people who have MS may have the opposite problem of being unable to stop themselves. They may be very talkative and uninhibited, blurting out comments they would have kept to themselves in the past. Because they are unresponsive to the normal social clues that let them know their behavior is inappropriate, they seem very impulsive and oblivious to the reactions of others. Furthermore, they may have a "short fuse" and experience unpredictable angry outbursts.

The thing about diseases of the brain is that they affect the organ that is who you are. Be careful about condemning someone if they have had trauma/disease of the brain, especially if the actions you are condemning seem out of character.
